Well here goes the 1st step of the rest of my life. Creeping up on 300lbs. Creeping up on 50 yrs. old soon enuff. Time 2 get the weight off & no excuses! Anybody out there scared sh*tless like me?

:thumbup: I am exploring my options, but I'm positive I need to be making overall lifstyle changes. I feel confident because I quit smoking in 1990 and that was one of the hardest things I've ever done. I still crave cigarettes to this day & I've stayed smoke free. I just have to make exercise regular & quit stuffing my emotions.

Do you feel healthier than before? What types of exercises do you do most often? ~Acruzn

Thanks for the input. I appreciate it. Question? How do you get that tickerfactory deal on your file? I am a newbie to this. Also did you "come out" and tell your whole family? I am a little bit hesitant to tell my kids until later, etc.

I'm totally with you! I went to an orientation when reality started to hit me in the face. If I don't do anything to get my weight gain in control then I'm doomed to a spine, knees and ankles that will reduce my quality of life & I got 2 kids & a husband depending on me. I am scared sh*tless about going under anestsia(sp?) but I guess I am finally more scared to gain another 20 lbs. because I won't fit in my clothes or in regular movie theater seats...how embarrassing!

Which is better the lap or the sleeve?

The MD's said they will not revrse the procedure unless it is a medical necessity. Is that par for the course?:grouphug:
