Sooooo. I'm around 70-ish lbs from my goal weight and I've already scheduled a tummy tuck and lipo for February '22. I know it's early in my journey to do so (I'm only 9 months post-op). But, I can't stand the flapping and hanging. I figure, since I haven't had kids yet, that any more loose skin I develop would be a great starting point for a pregnant belly a few years down the line (thats how it works right?? Like reinflating a balloon??). Or, this will just be my excuse to get a mini tummy tuck and an boob lift. Anyone else have an "early" surgery? How did your results fare after losing more weight? Regrets?

Early Tummy Tuck
MissSmartyPants replied to MissSmartyPants's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Wow nice work! I'm such a slow loser :(. My surgeon prefers that I'm within 10-15lbs of my goal because he anticipates that post skin removal and lipo that will place me at or slightly below goal. I told him that's lofty considering my rate of weightloss but I'm intensifying my health and fitness plan to get as close as humanly possible. Thats good to hear! I have a big head lol so my goal is higher than most at my height but its all good. I'm thinking by February I'll be 20-ish lbs away. -

February 2021 bypassers?
MissSmartyPants replied to TreeTrunks's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Hey guys! Checking in to say that if you've slid back into bad habits its never too late to turn it around! To be honest I deviated from the eating plan early on, and never really worked out, but ever since I've become a more mindful eater and have prioritized working out I feel like this whole journey is possible again. I want to reach my goal weight by February of next year so I really want to utilize this period of easy/more rapid weightloss to reach that goal and be a candidate for plastics. Unfortunately, I started this process for completely vain and superficial reasons. While those reasons are still driving me to reach my goals I'm also motivated to see what my body can do. Things I'll be trying in the near future: Skateboarding Bike riding Swimming Surfing Muay Thai Boxing A handstand A cartwheel A split Powerlifting Long distance running I'll be checking in more frequently too! Ever since I decided to recommit to my program I've just felt better in general. Wow, big brain moves happening over here 🤡.
I could kick myself for torturing me for 2 weeks for absolutely no reason. So I could eat an egg 4 days earlier???
Stupid.
Anyway, now I can go back to fantasizing about short shorts, travelling, tummy tucks, and BBLs 😌.

Pain near largest incision

Aw. Try wearing a girdle too! It'll help keep pressure on it and prevent your stomach from pulling on the incision too much! -
Pain near largest incision
MissSmartyPants replied to Hopefulin2021's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I mean always reach out to your surgery team blah blah blah etc etc lol, but I had a similar pain on one incision. I called and told them my symptoms (similar to yours) and the key things were that it wasn't discolored, hot to the touch, or draining any fluid, from that they determined that it was the last remnants of my stitches's pinching me and if it didn't go away in a week to come in. I had the pain for a ~1.5-2 weeks at that point and by the end of the second week/begining of the third it went away! But ooooooh sitting, bending, and turning were a doozy. -
February 2021 bypassers?
MissSmartyPants replied to TreeTrunks's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
UPDATE: 🥳✨MY STALL HAS BEEN OFFICIALLY BROKEN!!! ✨🥳 I miraculously lost 3 pounds over the course of three days and the ounces are on a steady decline as well (so far no regain). Things that changed: I had a sudden uptick in activity this week and walked a combined 10 hours (NYC baaaaby). I upped my protein (though hardly at goal of 64 grams). I ate considerably more food at regular times. and... I didn't weigh myself until today 😁. I hope anyone else stalling right now is able to break it soon! It's been 2-ish weeks for me and while not fun it made me focus on my nutrition/lifestyle rather than weightloss. -
I had my surgery on the same date and am currently experiencing the same thing I've been all but stalled for 2 weeks. Hopefully, it lets up for us soon. I'm working on being more active.
