    February 2021 Sleeve Surgery

You're at a turning point. Stay strong!
  2. My recovery was not difficult. The time i REALLY needed pain meds was mostly the first 24 hours. Before discharge, the nurse gave me a shot of toradol. Amazing improvement!! I was given liquid oxycodone to take home and honestly only needed it a handful of times (mostly when I forgot I shouldn't lay on my stomach) and also felt it was a little more than I really needed so usually just took a half dose.
  3. Hi all. Just wanted to share my experience in the hospital after surgery. Because of covid, I was not allowed any visitors. I never felt I really needed someone there looking at me anyway. If I could have done it all over again, I would've postponed until that restriction was lifted. It was okay during the night getting assistance from the nurses and aides, but during the day, especially right after moving in, I was left alone and it wasn't always easy getting assistance with things as simple as reaching your next 1 oz cup of water. Nobody during the day ever helped me with my bedding. It was a nightmare. Luckily I was only there overnight.

    February 2021 Sleeve Surgery

    I was February 3.
  5. I'm 9 days post op. Has anyone else had trouble at night with random itchy hands and feet? There's no hives and no redness and it only seems more active at night. It's usually around the perimeter but can be inside the fingers and toes too. Cortisone helps eventually but after several minutes.
