  1. That sounds terrible. Hope you’re better soon.
  2. Maybe the nutritionist says volume so the item being consumed will fit into the small stomach.

You look great! Congratulations on your success so far!

    To up fluid intake

My instructions say pills smaller than a US dime coin will be okay. Not sure what’s about that size in the UK. Hope you feel better soon.
  5. You should probably go to an emergency room since it could be a serious problem and you can’t get a timely appointment.
  6. Good to hear! I wish you much success!

    November 2021 surgeries

I have a date of November 9 - I’m tapering off coffee and have pre-op appointments next week. The time is going by fast, but I wish they could have worked me into the schedule earlier. I guess I’ll be in the purée stage by Thanksgiving.
  8. I downloaded the cookbook mentioned to my kindle. The recipes look really good. The shake recipes make more than one serving for a person in the early post op stage. The store bought shakes have a lot of artificial sweeteners and flavoring. Making your own sounds better for you once you can tolerate the ingredients.

    Regret and Depression

Jaelzion, I’m glad to hear that you can now take regular sips and bites. I’m preop and that is one of my worries. Knowing that it probably won’t be forever is good news. Congratulations on your success.

    Any October 2021 Surgeries?

    That’s great!
  13. Hope you’re feeling okay after your surgery.
  14. Unjury has a single serving sample pack on their site. I ordered it so I can try different flavors.

    2 week pre-surgery diet

Are soup broth and bone broth considered the same for the pre diet? I plan to ask at my pre op appt, but just wondering. I’m going to check my local gnc for unflavored protein powder so I’ll have more flexibility with flavors.

    It feels too easy.

You’re pretty tall. Maybe that allows liquids to go down easier and work their way through your body.

    6 month post Op update

This is so inspiring! I hope those last pounds leave you ASAP. I have surgery scheduled for 11/9. Reports like this make me hopeful for the future. All the best to you!
  18. That’s great! Hope the pounds fly off.

    Surgery is scheduled for 10/21!

Costco might have the protein powder at a lower cost. Orgain brand makes dairy free powder. I bought some for my son who has a problem with lactose, but later discovered that I could have purchased isolated whey protein because it doesn’t usually cause lactose problems.

    Surgery is scheduled for 10/21!

Do you all mix protein powder with the bone broth? I’ve been looking for unflavored protein powder, but haven’t seen it anywhere. What do you recommend?

    2 week pre-surgery diet

My pre op allows 1/2 cup oatmeal, sugar free pudding, sugar free jello, and unsweetened apple sauce as snacks. Protein shakes for the meals. Will probably use premier and fairlife for the shakes. I bought some isopro fruit punch protein to try with water in case I get sick of the shakes.

Congratulations! Hope your feeling like yourself soon.

    Energy

Did you drink coffee before and stop for the surgery? I haven’t had surgery yet, but I know lack of coffee makes me tired. I’m going to start weaning myself off coffee about 3 weeks prior to surgery.

    Recipes

My pre op is protein shakes with sugar/fat/caffeine free snacks of oatmeal, pudding, jello, apple sauce and yogurt. 1200 cal, 100g protein, 125g carbs per day. Sounds yucky, but it should be pretty easy. Im going to try to find unflavored protein powder to mix with fat free chicken broth in case I get sick of the shakes.
