    Headaches

HI JES, I also have migraines. My doctor told me that 58%of migraine suffers never have a migraine again after surgery. I have been banded since aug 21 and I have not had one since. I plan on keeping it this way. Good Luck. I hope you will become migraine free.
  7. You look great! If you dont mind me asking what was you weight the day of surgery? How much have you lost? and how long did it take you. I am so happy for you keep up the great work.I had my surgery in Aug 21 and the weight doesnt seem to be coming off.

  8. I am a federal employee also. I just had a lap band put on by DrTitus Duncan in Atlanta. You might want to check w/his office. Peachtree Bariactrics. I have never heard of this fee. My insurance paid for the surgery and includes fills for 90 days. Who is your insurance with.
  9. Hi Lisa, Dr Titus Duncan and his staff are awesome. The time between the seminar and surgery was about 6 weeks. Dr Duncan does the seminars. I was seen by another doctor for the first visit. And Dr Duncan did my surgery.( he can be seen every thursday morning on channel 5news) You will learn this at the seminar. I had to get clearences from a cardiologist, pulmanary dr, referring doctor. I had to have physical, ekg, stress test. All this will have to be done before they will even make an appointment with you. It seems like a lot but it was worth it. I recommend when you find out if your insurance will pay. Go ahead and start making your appointment w/these doctors. Good luck and if you decided to go w/Peachtree Baricatric I think you will be very happy.

Congradulation to all. I am new at this and due to be banded on August 21st. I have BCBS FEDERAL and was approved in one week. :thumbup:I do have a concern. I read all these threads that people had to be on a liquid diets. My doctor did not put me on a pre-op diet. Is this normal? :confused2:
