Day surgery and February 2 surgery date!

Yes, I think. I dont know if I'm hungry but I know I'm not full. I actually just posted a thread on this. I'm in the pureed stage and I domt know how to know when I'm full. Yesterday I was given the green light on pureed. I started with a v8, which was so yummy. Today I made soft scrambled eggs and melted cheese. I had one tablespoon as my NUT suggested. And that was it. But I dont know if that was too much or too little. How do you know when you're full? Or how do you know when to stop since your still hungry?

Pureed - how do I know if I am full?

Thank you for the hiccups tip. What did you measure in the pureed portion. I wasnt given measurements. They just said 60 protein and 64oz water in a day.

    Hospital stay question

Thick fuzzy socks, a robe, 3 sets of pjs and undies, sports bras, spirometer, my doctors orders/diet/next steps, charger, water bottle, chap stick, deodorant, dental hygiene pack, extra face coverings, glasses, contact case and solution, after surgery meds, and extra long sleeve shirts in case I was extra cold. I used most of it except the water bottle and 1 set of clothes.

    February 2021 bypassers?

@ironman -aspartame isnt bothering me. Protein2o makes me nauseous, protein shakes make me nauseous, and jello makes me nauseous. I do have a lot of like acid reflux but my NUT said it's because my brain doesnt know my stomach isnt the same size and that it's over producing acid.

Day surgery and February 2 surgery date!

I had my sleeve on Feb 2nd, I'm in day 7, and it's definitely been hard with the bloating, lack of appetite, and the difficulty of drinking anything.

    1 week out

Like everyone said, every person has a different experience. I had mine on feb 2nd , exactly 1 week ago and it's been brutal. I dont take any medicine, I'm always nauseous, water is hard to drink, coughs and sneeze are brutal, I'm pale, and I cant sleep. My tips of advise are: 1. The stitches dont hurt, it's the bloating (burp and pass gas as best as you can). 2. Walk, walk, walk -walk as much as you can, when I walk, I feel almost normal. 3. Use the spirometer they give you to prevent pneumonia. You'll do great though, dont worry.

    Binder - any recommendations?

This does help! Thank you. I have tried sleeping on my side since surgery and it hurts too much. I'm so sore from sleeping on my back. I switch between the couch and the bed but still so achy. Thanks for the info!

    I’m sleeved and home

Wow two protein drinks? Good job! I had my sleeve 5 days ago and I'm lucky if I have 40-48 oz from 6am to midnight. It's so hard for me because of the pain. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Cramps when eating

@peachmedley46 I'm sorry to hear that. I had my sleeve 5 days ago and am curious to see how much I've lost at my post op visit. But hang in there. Everyone is a little different and after the sleeve I'm certain you'll lose at least 50% of your weight. It's all the doctors say and studies and medicine. We didnt go through all of this for nothing. Keep going and dont give up. Good luck. Sent from my SM-N950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Gas! Ugghhh just Gassyyyy!

@cantstop1977 I completely understand. My sleeve was on 02/02 and all the meetings and appointments did not prepare me for the gas pain. The bloating is insane, it causes chest pain, back pain, and shoulder pain. It was so bad I didnt wa t to drink anything. I will say after day 3 it does get significantly better. I find that the more I fart the more it helps, I got a little gassy day 4 and much gassier day 5. I will also add today is the first day I ate and I had 2 tbsp of Greek yogurt so that may have played a part. You can do this! It does get better! Hang tight. Tomorrow will be much better!
