Drinking & Eating at the same time
HealthyLifeStyle replied to HealthyLifeStyle's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Did you do it right after surgery? When were you able to do it at the same time without feeling full, or sick? -
How long were your preop diets?
HealthyLifeStyle replied to Circus321's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was "lucky", I guess. I did not have to do any pre op diet at all. I only had to stop drinking diet coke. -
Sugar Free/fake sweeteners drinks
HealthyLifeStyle replied to HealthyLifeStyle's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
No, not unfair. If I really wanted to try, I would. I guess I am just to leery of it because of what the classes told us. -
Keeping surgery a secret? What did you tell others?
HealthyLifeStyle replied to rmarierenwick's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Wow that is so sad. Sorry to hear that. -

I am surprised to hear a few people saying they drink soda after this surgery. I was told NEVER!! I am too scared to even try it. -

I never liked Propel even before the surgery. That is hubby's fav drink. I just tried it again recently as tastes buds change after surgery, and I still don't like it. -
If you ate candy at only 5 days post op you would have been extremely sick. I hope that you are not doing this to yourself. Please contact your doctor.

How long after surgery did it take you to feel normal?
HealthyLifeStyle replied to Tim C's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Not sure how different the sleeve surgery & bypass are. I had the bypass and was very sick for the 1st month. I couldn't eat, or drink anything without being nauseous. I had to go on a script of a nauseous patch. The 2nd month improved a little, every month after that has improved. I am now almost 6 months post op and doing very good. Keep in mind that everyone is different. -

Wow 5 days. That is a long time. I guess I will just have to be patient. -

Requirements to qualify for gastric sleave

I had to do a 6 month program also. I think most insurance requires it. -

The only thing that used to help my belly aches before surgery was drinking ginger ale. Now I found that Altoids helps. I would love to try a sip of ginger ale too. -
I had it before my surgery, and do not have it anymore. Weird?

Requirements to qualify for gastric sleave

Not sure about the sleeve? I was 216 lbs. with type 2 diabetes, had a C-Pap machine to breathe while sleeping, asthma and a few other things. I qualified for the bypass. I don't know if every insurance is the same. My insurance covered it in full. -

Ohhhh noooo. This is not good news. I thought maybe if I waited long enough I could enjoy more of it. Do you eat pork chops? I haven't tried those yet. -

I want to taste diet coke just so I can see if I even still like it. I am afraid if I do then I will want it all the time. -

This is probably one of the only types I have not tried yet. I will have to try it. -
Cool Sculpting
HealthyLifeStyle replied to HealthyLifeStyle's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yah, your right. I was quoted $3k for each treatment. It would include 3 "areas" which are middle belly, and both sides. That is what you count as areas. OMG!! Then you have to have multiple sessions. Ok so that idea is gone. LOL -

Sounds extremely expensive. I was told that any cosmetic surgery was not covered by insurance? -

I have also tried Hint and didn't care for it. I tried the infusing also and don't care for it either. I know I am being picky...at least that is what my hubby says. -

Your luck that you don't find them yucky like me.
