SEX! (not gender...I mean actual nookie)
HealthyLifeStyle replied to Creekimp13's topic in Rants & Raves
What content goes in the Lounge? I never know if I am posting in the correct forum. -
I won't buy it again....lesson learned. I actually bought the crust for my hubby, not for me. I will look into some recipes for the dough. Thanks
-
TY for the suggestion, it never even crossed my mind to try this.
-
LMAO!!!! Thank you for making me laugh today! I needed this.

Does anyone know how to delete the before, and after pics from your profile? I can't figure it out.

I didn't lose a son to suicide, I lost my dad. I witnessed his suicide when I was only 12 yrs. old. It is now 40 yrs. later, and it seems like just yesterday. I understand the pain of losing someone, believe me. I was daddy's little girl. I ended up with PTSD because of this, and will be on meds for the rest of my life. I am very sorry to hear about your son.

Calorie intake vs. calorie expenditure
HealthyLifeStyle replied to mae7365's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Thank you for saying this. I raked up the yard the other day. The next day I couldn't even move. I know that I overdo things now because of my energy level. I have to be more careful from now on. I didn't like how I felt the following day. -
This happens to everyone. It is very frustrating. I am in a stall right now, and have had many along the way. Just stick to the plan, and before you know it, you will get on the scale, and see the progress happening once again.

23 days Post Op.
HealthyLifeStyle replied to Tim C's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had many, many stalls. Mine lasted anywhere from 2-4 weeks. It is so aggravating, but the day you get on the scale, and it finally breaks, you will be so happy/relieved. -
I ate a whole burrito
HealthyLifeStyle replied to amyseattle's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Ok, so at least you know why you did it. I love to eat also, but after the surgery I find that I can not eat even 1/4 of what I used to eat before. You will learn to stop, even when you don't feel full. I did it, and so can you. I eat a lot slower now. It sucks because my food often gets cold. I sometimes have to reheat in the microwave. You will get used of how your body feels. It takes time. Be patient with yourself. -
Plateauing & Aggravated
HealthyLifeStyle replied to HealthyLifeStyle's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
TY so much. If my body fluctuates after I hit the goal, then so be it. I just want so badly to see the number of my goal on the scale. Even if it is just once! -
I lose a lb. I gain 2 lbs. I lose 3 lbs. I gain a lb. Up and down, over and over! I am so aggravated. Just the other day I was only 2.5 lbs. to my goal, and I was so excited. Then today, I get on the scale, and I have gained 2.8 lbs.? WTH? I just want to reach my goal so badly. Then after that, if I put on a few lbs. I don't care. It's the actual wanting to just hit the goal weight. It keeps teasing me. I haven't eaten anything I am not supposed to, or increased my portions. I am more active now then I was before. It doesn't make sense. I am so strict with myself, it isn't even funny. UGGGHHHH

Plateauing & Aggravated
HealthyLifeStyle replied to HealthyLifeStyle's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I want to throw the scale out the window at times. LOL -
Is everyone still drinking protein drinks after 6 months post op? I am not sure if we are supposed to keep drinking them, or just get protein from our food now. If you are still doing the drinks, have you switched things up? If so, what did you do differently?

@catwoman7 Thanks. I needed to hear that. Even though I know it, it is still really tough when I am so close. Hopefully I can reach my goal soon, so I won't be so anxious about it. -
I ate a whole burrito
HealthyLifeStyle replied to amyseattle's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Wow, I would have got sick if I did that. I am also so afraid to over eat. Even if I am still hungry, I make myself stop eating. Were you eating for the taste? Were you super hungry that day? Just curious to see the why behind it. -
Temptations
HealthyLifeStyle replied to Pinkbunny's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Well first of all, your family member isn't be too considerate knowing what you have just gone through. I understand that maybe that is what they are used of eating, but if your only there temporary, then maybe try to at least hide it from you? When I was first out, I was so sick, I couldn't even drink water. When my hubby cooked something, the smell bothered me so much, I had to go outside. I suppose I was lucky in that sense. Now I am close to 7 months out, and hubby still eats foods that I can not. The other night, while watching tv, he was munching on some caramel popcorn, (one of my favs). I was like really, your just gonna sit there and eat this in front of me, knowing that I can't eat it. I had to settle for some raw walnuts, to satisfy my munchies. That being said, I don't expect hubby to not eat what he wants, can, and will in front of me. Most things don't bother me, but certain things do. I just try to eat something healthy instead. It sucks sometimes, but I get over it, knowing that if I eat what he is eating, that I would get sick. -
I can't do pain meds at all. They all make me sick. Hubby won't be able to help me much, if at all. He works full time, M-F 9-5, owns a food truck that he does on the weekends from 9-7, and he also flips houses. My parents are elderly, and won't be much help either. I am having doubts that I will be able to have surgery for these reasons. With no one to help me afterwards, my options are very limited.

Boyfriends Mom! WTF
HealthyLifeStyle replied to JustJazzy's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I personally know of at least 3 different people who had the surgery, and they ALL gained their weight back, and then some. It didn't stop me from having WLS because I know that I am different, and have my mind set up to think differently. My own sister is not supportive of my loss. She has said some nasty things to me. We haven't spoke since Christmas. Just ignore the haters, and move on. People always feel the need to be negative for some reason or another. Don't let it deter your healthy journey. -
Awesome!! You look so happy!

Have you tried Yasso frozen Greek Yogurt Bars? They are delicious, and come in many flavors. I eat one almost every night. They have 5-6 grams of protein, only 90-100 calories, low sugar, and carbs. Check them out.

Mine took 10 months for completion. I had to do all the pre requirements, and when I was done, I also had to fight with the insurance company. It would have only taken 6 months otherwise.

what changes?
HealthyLifeStyle replied to breonna.schneider's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Isn't it weird how we actually WANT to clean now? LOL -
Reading some of the comments, I can not imagine the pain of having more than one area done at the same time. Plus how did you manage after the surgeries?
