Girl, I hear you! I drive an hour for my appointments. I'm a revision patient (had lapband in 2009) so my process was much faster but it almost wasn't. My insurance didn't require I redo the 6 months and all that (psych eval, nutrition, etc). My surgeon did want me to redo the nutrition class and go to a support group meeting, and I was fine to do that. I actually enjoyed them, and I have been to the next support group meeting too. The kicker was that the lady that does insurance in his office would not believe that my insurance didn't require me to redo everything. She basically called me a liar and had me call insurance and have them call her on 3way. Then she told the representative who was reading her emails from the bariatric nurse reviewer to the lady that she didn't believe her and would call the nurse reviewer herself. The nurse reviewer read her my criteria (either surgical or medical complications, that's it) and she TOLD the reviewer that I had no surgical complications. Wth??? I never claimed to have surgical complications, thank goodness. My complications are medical (endocrine related) and she hadn't seen the letter from my endocrinologist. Well, the end of the story is it was approved in full and she had to eat crow. Moral of my story: call and ask what your insurance requires and push for yourself. Be your own advocate! It definitely worked for me. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App

I just got my date today! On December 15, I will be revising from lapband to RNY. I had to fight with my surgeon's office to get it sent in, but they did (surgeon himself helped nudge the office) and it was approved in 8 days. I'm so ready to start this new journey! Yep. What she said. Boxer briefs are sexy and definitely sound like they would help your problem. And yes, tighty whities are so not sexy. It's the men's version of granny panties. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App -

3 months post op on 11/10/16, not losing enough weight?
Who'sThere replied to nakole73's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm with the other posters, 52 pounds is a LOT in 3 months. What where your expectations??? Even your pics are dramatically different. I would never have guessed just 3 months. If you have unrealistic goals (I think feeling 52 pounds in 3 months is slow is a little unrealistic), I'm afraid you will be setting yourself up for major disappointment. Keep up the good work, and don't be so hard on yourself. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App -

This is suggested by our surgeon. They are supposed to say no blind NG. Also, something about a yellow dot for our vehicles. I am not familiar with that tho. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App -

Right now my partner and I are pretty compatible. We both have very high drives. I'm gonna tell him to make sure he gets his cardio in because I'm gonna step up my game. He's a few years older but in better shape. Tables may just turn. Haha Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using the BariatricPal App
