    I had issues with aspartame long before surgery. Do you have any issues with the aspartame in the crystal light?

    The first week I was alittle hungry but then it got worse second week as I grew bored of chocolate protein shakes. I tried a bit of pureed tuna few days early for one meal a day. Nothing hurt, bathroom is ok. It was just a little bit. I'm not advocating ignoring doctors orders but I couldn't take it anymore. Better pureed tuna than the soft pretzels my wife had out for superbowl.

    Day surgery and February 2 surgery date!

    Hey fitmom, glad you made it home. I'm a week out from my surgery first few days were rough but feeling much better now. Clothes are fitting great and feeling pretty good. Goodluck to you as well Lhock.

    Good luck. I felt like crap day after but it will get better fast. Take the meds and it will help.

    Hi everyone I had my bypass on 1/28. So one week into the liquid postoperative diet. I'm feeling pretty good trying to get my walks in with 18" of snow. I've lost weight before and after surgery. My biggest issue is wanting to taste real food but it is only a week away to pureed food. Chocolate is good but every meal over does it. I get hungry but I think it is mental, old habits from boredom and stress. I'm just glad to have a group to identify with.

    1 Day Post Op and feeling good!

    Day two post op, I'm feeling much better today. Yesterday I had quite a bit of reflux each time I drank but woke up with very little pain this morning and drinking is easier. Didn't have any bloated feeling.

    I had serious anger issues for a while. I have had a therapist for a while. I came to realize that I had expectations of everyone that were not realistic and that they were not there to serve me. I also felt I did everything for everyone and never got to do what I wanted. So my advice is work is frustrating but find something at the end of the day or weekend that you will look forward to. Back then I started Tae Kwon do lessons again.
  9. Well I'm on day 13 preop diet no more shakes only clear liquid. The first week went well. But last 2 days I'm dying to chew something real. Chicken, bread, something. I haven't cheated, don't want to start this journey that way if I can make it. I'm hoping this doesn't continue through postoperative liquid diet.
