  1. 3.5 month after surgery and tried every single multi vitamin I could put my hands on searching for one that it wouldn't make me nauseous or vomit. I finally found one that works well and I'm soooo happy! I don't know if it's sold in the states (live in Europe) but it's called Baricol, only the pill form work for me, the others also make me very sick. I would recommend you to change and keep trying until you find something that suits you. I was starting to get anxiety about taking the vitamins. Good luck Sent from my SM-A715F using BariatricPal mobile app

I lost my thirst... Anyone else?

I am 5 weeks post op. I got a gastric sleeve and I feel exactly the same as you. I used to drink so much water all the time and I would choose water over any other type of drink (except maybe coffee) and now I find it so hard to drink water and/or other liquids. I'm almost never thirsty and I'm pretty sure I don't even reach a liter of liquids per day and I am VERY worried. For the first time in my life is my pee yellow and it smells like pee in a public restroom! I feel sad about this and I will ask my doctor in my next appointment because I hate that drinking water is not nice anymore.. On the other hand I can tell you that I'm forcing myself to drink one small glass of water first thing in the morning and then I end the day drinking a 250ml mug of infusion.. then I sip here and there. I have a 500ml bottle of water with me all the time that I try to finish throughout the day (although I'm almost never successful) and then I get 1 to 2 small coffees a day. Still my pee is yellow af. Maybe you can try something like that? Sent from my SM-A715F using BariatricPal mobile app
  3. Hello, I just wanted to tell everybody that I have managed no problem to drink an hour after the meals. I do 90% of the time not drink 30 minutes before the meals although occasionally will drink until my first bite. It's going well and I'm not even that thirsty although I do think that now I'm not drinking enough liquids but I'm still working on it. Thank you all!! I felt a lot better and less worried after reading your comments! Sent from my SM-A715F using BariatricPal mobile app

  6. Hello! I was told by my doctors that I will never be able to drink and eat at the same time and I still struggle to wrap my head around it. I am 16 days post-op for gastric sleeve and in the mash diet phase. I have followed instructions and not drank 30 minutes before food and 60 minutes after but being a person that loves to drink water, coffee, tea throughout the day I find it difficult to organise my time for drinking and eating. I understand that this is done for the absorption of nutrients and the dumping syndrome, but I was wondering if there is hope for me and maybe it doesn't have to be like this forever? Maybe after a few months I can drink if I need to with the food?? Or not having to wait soooo long to eat after drinking and drink after eating? I'm not even asking about doing it all the time. I'm wondering about the special occasion that are needed like eating spicy food and drinking milk with it or going to the cinema and eating and drinking at the same time... Please help because to think about the rest of my life doing this gives me a bit of anxiety. Sent from my SM-A715F using BariatricPal mobile app
  7. Are the patches safe and do they work 100%? I'm also curious about how to use them. Sent from my SM-A715F using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. Hi, I was wondering if anybody else had problems with taking in their vitamins. I am in the second week after my gastric sleeve and every time I try to take my multi vitamins I feel sick in my stomach, weak or vomit. I have Baricol in 4 different forms an none seems to work. Is this normal? Should I continue taking them even if they make me sick until I adapt? Sent from my SM-A715F using BariatricPal mobile app
