scared of feeling in my stomach/chest
rcoleband replied to jntedwards's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Day two and three I did throw up. I called my dr and he was not too concerned. I began taking maalox total relief which helped with the nausea. I am not dr, so you should call and let them know what is going on. I am just 4 days out myself and have a bad feeling in my stomach, a lil queasy and nausious but the maalox helps with that. -
I have electric recling chairs that that is where I have been sleeping. It is the gas in my chest that is killing me. It is getting better. Las night was the first night I slept for about 5 hours straight. I am also 4 days out.

What did you find the hardest to deal with post op?
rcoleband replied to kizzie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am just 3 days post op. The hardest thing is the gas, that has almost killed me. I had jaw surgery 6 weeks ago and was on full liquids for 4 weeks and had only been on soft foods for two weeks before havingthis surgery. As of now, I feel full most of the time with just drinking water, jello, etc.... So I do not miss anything now but the gas was UNREAL!!!! I still have it, but it is much better now. -
Pill Crushing during Liquid stage
rcoleband replied to Cadets71's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I only have one pill that I need to take and I am not taking it at the moment. It is a water pill (diuretic). I am not sure if I am geting enough fluids to take it. I will wait until after my post op visit on Tuesday. The Dr. also prescribed me Zantac and I cut those into three strips and take them with warm tea. It seems to be ok. But 16 is a lot of pills to get down. I hope you figure out a solution. -
Why won't this gas go away?!?
rcoleband replied to jeremiahsmommy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am only 3 days out and I still has some gas pain but I take the Gas X Strips and Maalox. Together, these really helped me. Walking helps as well. Hope you feel better soon. -
I was banded on 6/18. The pain is probably the gas and I am still dealing with it. I take malox and it helps with the vomiting as well. I called my Dr and they told me it was nothing to worry about.
