My insurance company called yesterday and said I was approved Wednesday so I called my doctors office and they said they haven't received it yet. How long does it normally take for them to receive the approval? Sent from my SM-G986U using BariatricPal mobile app

Oddly, yesterday I noticed my doctor office sent me a video to watch and a test so I watched and took the test not really thinking anything of it. Just now my coordinator called on a Sunday to schedule my pre consents for Thursday at noon. This is starting to move along im almost there. Sent from my SM-G986U using BariatricPal mobile app

Yeah,I'm more of let's get this over with since my last supervised diet date was Dec 10th my paperwork been was suppose to be submitted to my insurance because I had everything done. I was thinking it was submitted but oh no they called me Jan 7th to tell me it was submitted and to schedule my EGD for Jan 18th. I was like wow! When did you start your journey? How long did it take for your doctors office to receive your approval? My insurance called on 1/20 to say I was approved but my doctor office says they haven’t received anything.

I have Anthem also through my job. Are you a diabetic? I see a endocrinologist for my diabetes but they didn’t require anything from her. Thank God because she’s been on maternity leave since October to March, lol

Wow, 12 weeks? What insurance do you have? At first I had to do 6 supervised diet visits then my insurance said 3 along with a psych eval, 1 diet appointment with the dietitian, labs and medical clearance. My coordinator submitted me documents on 1/7 with a surgery date of 2/16. I still can't get a hold of my case nurse. At first when I called to check my status they said it's still under review and I'm not missing anything. They have until 1/22 to give me an answer. I called today to check on the status still pending and now I'm being told they have until 1/28 to give me a answer. How hard is it to look at five things. No matter how many times they review it what's on the documents won't change. Super frustrated.

Thankfully, my case nurse called today and asked me question pertaining to surgery. Hopefully I will be approved by Friday.

Monday I have to be @ the surgical center for 10:30am. I’m nervous because I’ve never been put to sleep before. How long does the procedure usually last?

It was indeed easy. I woke up in recovery just looking around at the people who had the surgery done. Poor babies were in pain. I’m just waiting on my dr office to follow up with me on the procedure.

Congratulations, I’m still waiting it went from I should know by 1/22 to I should know by 1/28 back to I should know by the end of the week. I think they are tired of me calling each day.

Welp my surgery date is listed as 2/16

Yeah BCBS customer reps always send her messages to call me( I call everyday, lol) she called Wed but I was at work. She left a message to call her but every time I do says she’s not available and I leave voicemails, but no return call yet.

I'm super excited my doctor sent my information in on 1/7. I am praying it gets approved. I am super tired of poking myself with insulin and excited about my lifestyle change!
