  1. Pancakes, you just made me very happy 😁
  2. I am only 10 days out, but I have been choosing eggs, cottage cheese, puréed chicken soup and refried beans. This weekend I am going to purée a grilled tuna steak. I am limited because of my stage and rely on my shakes also.
  3. I start burping also. And I make myself stop and ask myself if I am really hungry.
  4. I have no limits on how much I can eat, but I get full pretty quick. Like 1/3 a soft boiled egg, 5 small bites of yoghurt. Things just don’t taste that good.
  5. I feel the same way. No problem with the protein shakes but the puréed food fills me up. I have hit my first stall so I went to the gym and walked on the treadmill today. I am getting all of my fluids and protein. I feel great and the only downside is feeling weak. I know that will pass with time.
  6. I am tired of being dizzy and weak. And that is with 10 hours of sleep.

    February 2021 bypassers?

I think what helped me a lot was working out before I got the surgery. I went every other day and did 45 minutes of weights and 20-30 minutes of cardio. I am hitting the water hard and adding a little extra protein powder to my drinks. It helps me with my energy. I have been sleeping around 10-11 hours a day and getting my walking in. I have no more pain from my incisions and am down 17 lbs. A big part of it is learning to listen to your body. It’s amazing how much you learn about yourself.
  8. Mine went well and I’m doing great. Down 17 lbs total, 7 since the surgery. I hope the rest of you are adapting well also.

Had my surgery last Tuesday and feel pretty good. Trying to learn to juggle the protein drinks and water.

    February 2021 bypassers?

I had my surgery Feb 2 and I am at home already. They wanted me to stay for 2 days but I was doing so well they sent me home. I m not taking my pain pills because I don’t need them. My stomach is pretty sore but I feel pretty good considering. I have already consumed 1 protein drink, one cup of herbal tea and 28 ounces of water. Good luck to everyone who is coming up.

    February 2021 bypassers?

Feb 2 is my date. I am doing the pre-op diet and have lost 10 lbs. Talked to the anesthesiologist yesterday and have my COVID test lined up early on the 1st. I got some library books to keep me easy in the days afterward.
  14. I started my pre-op diet last Friday. I have lost 7 lbs so far, but most of it is probably water. The Dr. said I would be in the hospital for one or two days, depending on how I do. I bought a couple of sweatshirt material gowns to wear instead of hospital gowns. That will give me something to walk around in. I am scheduled for 7:45 but was told I might get bumped for anyone that needs surgery in an outpatient capacity. I hope that does not happen. It is all a waiting game at this point.
  15. I am scheduled for Feb 2. I am very excited.
  16. I got my date, Feb 2.  I am so excited.

    COVID and Gym-ing

I have been going frequently because I am almost ready to get my date, and I want to be as fit as possible. I hit the weight machines, free weights, and some cardio and find the gym much more motivating than home. I clean before and after using anything and wear a mask. You learn to breathe with it, but I have a N95 that does not sit on my face. I don’t suck it in when I inhale. It really helps.
