Hi. congrats! I am looking forward to getting a tummy tuck when I reach my goal. -
Hi, the same thing happens to me sometimes. It is probably just water watch your sodium intake and drink more water.I know it sounds like drinking more would make it worse but it works.

Hi, Today my band is one year old. So far I have lost 85 pounds. It seems like after I lost 70 pounds everything slowed way down. It takes forever to lose a pound now. Does anyone have any tips? I eat between 1200 and 1300 calories a day and swim laps and walk 2 or three times a week. I used to try to exercise 5 times a week but it did not seem to make a difference. I try to keep my daily carb intake below 50.Thanks for any suggestions you may have. Denise

Really need advice on a very tight band...
Gus'sGirl replied to als74's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hi, a month ago I got a fill .8cc and it made my band too tight. Solids did not go down any longer. I thought at first it may ease up. It did not. I got a .6 unfill today everything it working great now. No more throwing up and being stuck. Don't wait get your fill adjusted. You will actually do better with your weight loss when you can eat solid proteins. Hope this helps. p.s. I feel so much happier now. Denise -
Hi, I know what you mean, plateuas are the worst. Get exercise and watch your carb intake.

Hi,the band itself cannot stretch or contract at will. But your flesh that it is banded around can be more swollen at times. My restriction is tightest in the mornings.

I use stevia and it works great to add a little sweetness.

Hi, your Doctor is not very well informed. It sounds like she is trying to manipulate you into doing things her way.Go forward with your plans and look for a different PCP.

Very embarrasing moment ends in hope

Hi, don't feel bad. Things will just keep getting better from now on. Denise -
May I make a suggestion? Your registered username "Ready2diet" might be playing pyschological games with you. I know it is with me. Remember, we got the lapband so we could LIVE, not DIEt. We have to make LIFEstyle changes for the rest of our LIVES. DIEts don't work, that's why we're here. I agree. I put in for a name change. Thanks for the idea. Denise:thumbup:

Hi, I was banded on July 22 2008. I have been losing slow but steady. I just bought a treadmill and plan on using it 5 days a week. I hope that will help me lose a little faster and firm up. Denise
