Update: Oddly enough the dark denim that will seemingly fit forever, still fits. Annoying! But, these where my FAVOURITE jeans in a 20 (highest size) and I skipped right to the 16s. They fit perfectly!! And ironically finally arrived in the mail the same day my 20's fell off in Walmart. Thank goodness for long shirts Seriously though, a 10 inch difference in waist from 16 to 20! That's a huge difference

Yes, sizing is difficult!! I ordered my exact same pair of jeans that are my old favorite in a 16. Since the 20 is falling off of me, I didn't want to spend $100/pair for 18s that might not fit me long. Hoping to fit into the 16s before too long. Meanwhile, my dark denim is a 20 and I am not sizing down anytime soon. Would be nice if the sizes all meant the same thing across brands! Can't wait for the day that stores allow you to try on clothing in store again too

I had to pack up part of my house for selling it and seem to have misplaced my measuring tape. December 10 - January 31st (last time I measured) I lost 25 inches, but you're right... Most of them aren't from the gut which is the most noticeable place to me. I know that's a big number, I just can't seem to see it myself and my pants shouldn't be the way I am judging my failure/success.

Thanks for the encouragement off knowing I am not alone with my jeans seemingly fitting forever! But I think I will seriously cry if these even remotely fit at 100 lbs down. It does definately help to hear though! ❤️

No, they are hardly stretchy. I mean, in December they where uncomfortable to sit in because they dug into my gut and now I can sit in them. But at 50lbs down I definitely expected they would have fallen off and had to be replaced vs just feeling comfortable now (unless bloated). I fully expect leggings to fit for forever! Lol

Oh, we don't waste butter, it got mixed into the leftover potatoes for the next day! My husband happily finished anything I didn't eat as well. 🤣 -

I removed half of the herbed butter from my plate after the first photo. Too much! But it looked pretty. 🤣 -
Thanks for the input all.

Yum!! I love chaffles but with only a Belgium waffle maker, they don't look as pretty. Which recipe did you use? -

For scale this is a 4oz ramekin. Cottage cheese, slivered ham and pizza sauce all mixed and topped with buratta. Baked until melted and toasty. Very filling. Ate 3/4 of it -

The costco locations in Kitchener and Waterloo just got a few new diet friendly options that I hadn't seen before. Fingers crossed for you. I always look for the US suggested stuff and am bummed when it isn't here, so I was excited -

"Poutine"... Not really but it filled the want. Poutine gravy, 1.5oz brisket, 2oz cheese curds and 2oz green/wax beans. -
1 month post-op, kinda skimpy WL

When I spoke to my team, they said they expect about 2lbs a week and anything extra is a bonus. I was surprised that that is the goal even right after surgery! -
Gastric Bypass and Gall bladder removal simultaneously
CapK replied to Anyka Kindy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sorry to hear you had so many issues right off the bat. I also had a RNY and gallbladder removal at the same time but I had mine Dec 17th so I am barely ahead of you. I have had no issues with the gallbladder removal. What specifically are you looking for answers on? The affect of also having no gallbladder on diet down the road, affect on weight loss, etc? -
Does anyone get chronic stomach pain?
CapK replied to Shelleyvdp's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
The dumping is brutal, but I agree with catwoman7... Only a minority of people get it. I dealt with it extremely badly twice (in one month), but if I am very careful about what I eat, its not a problem. If you do get it, work on finding your triggers and avoid them. I got RNY because of GERD and it is amazing not to have to deal with it anymore. Random stomach pain I get is usually always solved with extra fiber or gas relief. I have noticed that what I would consider constipated before is different than now, (TMI sorry) if I don't have a bowel movement at least once daily I get abdominal pain from it. Weird yes, but that's the new normal. -
In order to feel better, I just assumed those where more of a kids size XL since she was wearing kids pants previously. lol

First Post-Surgery "Learning Experience"
CapK replied to Maisey's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
That's awful! Hope you both are feeling better. The first day I was allowed solids, I ended up in the ER with dumping syndrome. The worst part was needing to throw up and not being able to, so not getting any relief. I felt bruised for almost a week afterwards from all the heaving. Definitely chew better, slower and watch for the first twinges of discomfort now! Hopefully it is a lesson we only need to learn once! -
