    I'm Not Losing Weight

Don't get discouraged. What are you eating? Are you keeping a journal? How long are you exercising for? Try eating more protein if you aren't already and exercise a little bit more. It's possible if you are able to eat too much that you may need a fill.
  5. Thanks for all the great information. I'm only three months post op and have not had any pasta at all. The calories in regular pasta are ok, it's the carbs that concern me. That's why I would like to try the noodles. I'm not craving carbs at this time, but would like to know I can have a little when and if I can tolerate them.
  6. I was just curious if anyone heard of the Miracle Noodle and if anyone has tried it. I found it on the website www.miraclenoodle.com. It says for a 3oz. serving size of Angel Hair noodles that there are 0 calories, 0 fat, 0 protein, <1gm of carbs, 0 sugar and 0 protein.

    Greetings from NJ

You need to do this for yourself and not for anyone else. I to am from NJ and had lapband on June 2nd. I feel great and have so much more energy. Do all of your research and make an educated decision on what you need to do and what's best for you. It's all worth it!! Good luck to you.

    Should I be losing more???

Barbie, you are doing great. You are down around 27lbs. in six weeks. You should be very proud of yourself and keep up the good work. Don't beat yourself up. Good luck on your continued success
  9. A little trick my nurse taught me was to take a deep breath prior to getting up/down and then letting it out as I got up/down. That helped a lot. I also kept an ice pack on my port incision for a couple of days. The pressure of the ice pack along with the cold was great. That was my woobie. I wouldn't go anywhere without for the first couple of days. Good luck on your journey. It only gets better from here.

Who has the labpand AP 14CC Band?

I also have a 14cc band. My dr prefilled during surgery w/ 3cc. I was feeling hungry and not really restricted so I had my 1st fill yesterday, 7/16. They tried to add 4 more cc's but that didn't work so they removed 1cc and that was still too tight. In the end I wound up only w/ 3.8cc's total. I guess I was a lot more restricted then I thought. I think I still have to figure out what is actually hunger and what is head hunger. I too stick w/ chicken, scrambled eggs and soft veggies. I don't want things to get stuck. I wish you continued success.
  11. It is truly going to determine how you feel afterwards. I also have a desk job and I was able to stay out for 2 weeks. With everything you will be going through allow yourself time to heal. I did feel bette by week 2 but I'm glad I didn't have to go to work. I was able to concentrate on myself and get my self situated with my new life and eating. Good luck on your journey.

    Low Carb Banders Unite

I am new to this bulletin board and this is my first post. I was banded on June 2, 2008. After reading this thread I have been inspired by all of your efforts and accomplishments. I am anxious to start trying to be more low carb and hope it works. How do the sticks work? I've never tried a low carb diet until now and want to make sure that I'm doing it right.
