Thought I might add this for your entertainment. Lynn Forester de Rothschild, Member of DNC Platform Committee, Endorses John McCain ARLINGTON, VA -- Today the McCain-Palin campaign announced the endorsement of Lynn Forester de Rothschild, a prominent Hillary Clinton supporter and member of the Democratic National Committee's Platform Committee. "In an election as important at this, we must choose the candidate who has a proven record of bipartisanship and reforming government, and that's John McCain," Rothschild said. "We can't afford a president who lacks experience and judgment and has never crossed party lines to work for meaningful reform. Amid tough economic times and foreign policy concerns, we need someone who is ready to lead. Although I am a Democrat, I recognize that it's more important to put country ahead of party and that's why I support John McCain." Rothschild, an attorney and businesswoman, supported Sen. Clinton during the Democratic primaries. She will campaign for Sen. McCain through Election Day.

Ugh! The bowel prep stuff is YUCKY!!! Thank goodness he gave me phenergan to take with it. I have to drink another bottle in 15 minutes. Thanks for you thoughts...getting down to the hourly count.

TY Clusk! I am getting butterflies in my tummy! It goes by so quickly! I have been shopping and trying to be creative on food choices. I bought tiny bowls so that I can store smaller servings. I have all of my meds, vitamins, etc. My bags are packed. I just have to get up in the morning at six, drink a bottle of the prep...gonna run to work to do some paper work, and the come back home and drink another bottle at noon. I also have antibiotics to take in the afternoon. Since I work in a hospital, I brought home some pre-op skin cleanser...MRSA scares me and I don't want to get it! I think I am going to go hop into bed and hope the day goes by fast!!

I know. But my 16 year old self would have never thought I would have needed lapband surgery either! (considering at 16 I weighed about 110 lbs)

I know...I can't wait until my bowel prep tomorrow!!

I saw somewhere that McCain was a boxer, and it is common not to look your opponent in the eye. I don't know if this is why he didn't look at Obama, but it is how one newscaster explained his behavior.

Republicans can list just as many democrats that are against Obama. http://democrats-against-obama.org/

Consult Questions You Wish You Had Asked?
JamieNP replied to trayrenee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Here are some of the questions that I asked: 1. How many cases of MRSA have you had post op? 2. How many "flipped" or displaced ports have you had? 3. What do you feel like is the cause of patient's failure to lose weight with the band? (he said "ice cream") 4. Will I be able to have an NG tube if I am critically ill? 5. Can I have an MRI? 6. How do you do your fills? 7. Who does your fills? 8. How do you determine when fills are needed? 9. What is the most common problem that you see with lapband patients post op? 10. How long will I have to stay in the hospital? 11. What brand of bands do you use? -
I took it on as a carry on. Had no problems. One time I had to take it out and they "tested" it by swabbing it with something.

If it comes down to it, let me know and I can send you some ideas for an appeal letter. Your denial letter should come this week also, and it will say exactly why you were denied (at least mine did). I almost gave up and I sulked for a few days. But then I figured it was worth the fight. And now I am getting banded in 3 days!

I have the bowel prep on Monday. My surgeon gave me Phenergan to take during that day, because it makes you nauseated. He also gave me antibiotics to take after the bowel prep. I feel like he takes pretty good care of his patients.

Maggie, wait until your surgeon's office talks with Tricare. I had my appeal letter together and didn't need it. My office talked with Tricare and found out the details.

Are We Ready For A Woman VP?

Well, we all have prejudices, don't we? -
Obama sure did agree with McCain a lot. Obama is a good speaker, but he seemed as though he was giving a prepared speech (this seemed to get better as the debate went on). Remember, the questions were not given to the speakers before. McCain took information from the question...like the example from Eisenhower... to help support his answer. And McCain appeared as though he was actually answering the questions, instead of giving a speech. Obama looked tired and had dark circles under his eyes (I have met him in person and he is a handsome man, but looks older in person). McCain looked better than usual last night, which was surprising since this week has been kind of crazy.

My quote: 7. Obama has no business leading a military that he has no respect for. (jwrn quickly places the target on her back). I guess my views are pretty similar to Palin's. The reply: To say that our military is stupid and doesn't repsect Senator Obama is pretty nasty indeed. As I was saying earlier, taking one piece and twisting it to fit your view of Republicans. Just sign me: Proud daughter of a Vietnam vet (my "daddy" is deceased and owns no oil wells), Proud wife of a 28 year, silver star, Army special ops combat Pilot, Proud mother of an Army special ops soldier (son), and Proud mother of an Army National guard 2nd Lt (daughter med ops). -
Feel Like I'm being scammed. Does this sound right???
JamieNP replied to winthropgrad08's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
As far as Support groups, I live in Nashville. There are several support groups throughout the area and they are free to anyone that wants to go. A support group should be free. Depending on if you surgeon does your fills under fluro, I would think costs vary. This doesn't sound right. You could find out what other surgeons charge and then present this to your surgeon. Just flat out tell them, Dr.'s so and so does not charge support groups and the fills cost ____, why would I want to go to you...what is the benefit of this? It better come with bells and whistles. -

Yes, I have seen a slag pond. I have also seen McDonald's fast food wrappers on the side of the road, but you don't see anyone picketing them for adding to pollution or for killing innocent cows and chickens (or what ever those little nuggets are made out of). No offense but you are taking one bit and stretching it to fit your "view" of Republicans. Nowhere have I EVER seen where a Republican said that everyone should believe in God and everyone should be one Religion. I have not seen anywhere where there was a certain book Palin wanted out of the library. It is like saying that since Michelle Obama said this was the first time she was proud to be an American, then "everyone should have been ashamed to be Americans". Or since Obama is for late term abortion, then everyone should get an abortion. Or since Biden didn't know his history (aka Roosevelt and his TV broadcast) he should not be in public office. It is just taking one piece and twisting it to your liking. Military...well, I don't know a military person that is FOR Obama (ok, maybe one). Funny, Iraq is now a stable country with a population that is grateful for our Military. You just don't see that on the news. -

1. It doesn't matter if you believe in it or not, and it doesn't make either one of us "radicals". The Bible is an extremely important book. Fortunately in this country you have the right to believe in what you want. But things are changing. Christians are the ones that are being discriminated against (sound familiar?) Every other religion can be taught or expressed in public schools (except maybe wiccan?), but Christianity is frowned upon. 2. No matter what you believe, "God" was very important to our founding fathers 3. I don't know this for a fact...just an observation. I would say Obama believes in Creationism (hence his involvement with Wright). 4. I don't believe that porn or soft porn or sexually explicit books should be available to my children at school. Fine, if you want to show your kids a Playboy at home, I guess that is your right. Check out Snopes, the Palin thing is false. 5. I have a right to bear arms. My house is very well protected. 6. Drilling for oil does not mean destroying the surrounding environment and wildlife. My family owns numerous oil wells...trust me on this one (my mom owns a botanical garden an arboretum). 7. Obama has no business leading a military that he has no respect for. (jwrn quickly places the target on her back). I guess my views are pretty similar to Palin's. -
Could it be from the actual injection? You have to pass through tissue to get there
