Good luck with your journey!!!1 -
Giving up on something we have all struggled with is probably the hardest thing we all will have to do or done. It is a struggle but at least you identify your mistake and are taking charge of it. Good luck with your surgery!

21 and Brand New to the Site
Brockbabe82 replied to Bananalee's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hey hun, Welcome!!! I'm pretty new to the site too.Congrats on beginning the proccess of surgery. I haven't had my surgery yet , I'm just waiting on a date. Depending on what city you live in your best idea would be to call a surgeons office that deals with bariatric surgery. Most of the time they have the info where the seminars are. After the seminar the doctor's office will call you and make the appointment for your first visit. From there you will need to see a psychologist, nutritionist, and a support group. I hope that helped a little!!! Good luck hun:thumbup: -
awesome!!!! I am actually very similar with the numbers and have had the same thing happen. Isn't it nice to see a drop in numbers while you are waiting for your date. Good luck hun, keep up the good work!!!!

hey hun, I was told to drink the slim fast optima. Supposedly it has less sugar. Definitely check with your doctor! Good luck:thumbup:

A friend yelling at me at a bar saying DON'T EAT THAT!
Brockbabe82 replied to katie78's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
You know regardless of nworking together this type of response seems to happen a lot with over weight people. I work in a resteraunt , where I bring my own lunch, I have had customers come over to the break area and tell me I should be eating a salad, meanwhile I am sitting there eating a piece of grilled chicken. The most embarrasing is when you are ordering a meal and the waitress gives you a look like why are you ordering this..... If it was me and this situation happened again I would just say I am an adult and I am concious of what I am doing. I do appreciate your concern but I have it under control. If this doesn't work, simply tell her , that her behavior makes you feel ridiculed and embarrased. Hopefully she will get the hint. Good luck:thumbup: -

Congrats on the date!!! Exciting. As far as the drinks go they had the low sugar carnation good start Breakfast drinks. But the Whey products are usually preferred. Good luck:thumbs_up: -

Isn't it funny how people can be so ignorant. I mean it definetly is not funny but it just shows how most people have no idea that having this surgery is not to fit in to the "norm" but ultimately to feel better about our selfs and be healthier. It is always those who have never struggled with their weight that say the meanest things. They see it as their way of kicking us in the butt and "helping us". Meanwhile they do the total opposite. The one thing I always hate is "you have such a pretty face. Just wait till you have your surgery." What the hell is wrong with the rest of me?????:confused2: I mean we all know we are overweight, all for different reasons but do we need others to explain our inadequacies? When situations like this occur I just tell myself, I can lose all my weight, but these people will always be ugly ....maybe not on the outside but defintely the inside. Don't worry hun you are bettering yourself , brush off the criticism. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Good luck:thumbup:
