eating...hmmm....3 protein shakes, water, sf jello, and i love the sf ff cheesecake pudding...helps to fill me too!!! I also have been doing LF cream soups...I just throw them in the blender so it won't irrate the band. I am on this diet until Sept 3rd. Yucky then mushys can start. Oh and applesauce...Thats about it nothing exciting.

Thank you everyone! It was a hard first night and i am still upset. I really didn't sleep to well and it was just all the lies he told me flooding my head. Today is the day I am starting over. I am shedding my last tear now. I am just devasted I guess....Just trying to keep my head up! What comes around goes around!

He just did a 360 on me and told me he wasn't attracted to me at all....That hurt...but i am trying to be strong and jst i cannot stop crying....but i am trying my hardest...i was bad and went and had a dunkins decaf ice coffee with a friend and it was great!

Well I was banded on Monday, and I dont have any hunger pains. I drink my Protein shakes and Water because I know I have to, but I dont feel the fullness either. Is this normal? Anyone else experience this? does it go away and return back to normal?

I am officially banded and feel sooo bloated and soar! I was give all kinds of prescription when I got home but since I just got home the pharmacy closes at 9pm sooo I have to wait for the morning time. If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask!

Yes I cheated...I lost exactly 13.2lbs in my two week diet. I ate applebees and red robin...but i was good the rest of the time! My liver was perfect. That was in the beginning of my diet and then i got use to it and on track 100%

When I started my job I had to have surgery a month later. If they are a good company they will understand. Each appointment usually lasted an hour or so. Always get a doctors note and photocopy it so you have a copy so it covers your back if they say anything. They dont need to know why you are going to the doctors. That is a privacy law. Before the surgeon would submit my papers to insurance I had to attend 2 info sessions, see the nutrionist, see the pysch doctor, head of the department, bloodwork, gallbladder ultrasound, and then meet with the surgeon. The usually put all the appointments together. Mine was spread over 2 days and the 3rd time it was with the surgeon and then scheduled my surgery and preop appointment. Every hospital is different.

At the hospital I went to it is. We are required to stay overnight. I would think so if you were going home the same day, since it knocked me out hardcore. My bf came and visited and i was half dead.

Nope I think it depends on the hospital and your insurance. I had my first appointment with the doctor on june 17th and i had surgery on Aug 11th. Good luck in your journey into bandland!

Welcome to bandland. I was also banded on the 11th and i am in no mood to eat all which is nice, but of course I am drinking my shakes and drinking all my Water. I just dont have any hunger pains or full pains either. I also stayed over night and it was the best thing ever. I was hooked to a morphine drip and it was great. Did they give you a hug pillow to take home? If not get a firm pillow and hug it to your belly and that has allowed me to sleep on my side. I also use it to get out of bed and on car rides(i live in pothole central) Your arms and pillow take the impact and not your stomach. It is good to hold when you sneeze, cough, and hiccup. In the hospital i was given a morphine drip and when i was ready to go home they were going to give me percs or vics, but I get nausea off of them so I went home with liquid tyenol with codeine in it. Nothing to exciting. Good Luck..I am only 2 days out!

I also went to applebees 2 times while I was on my pre-op diet. It is good to trick your body once or twice and enjoy something a little bit fatter. I lost over 10lbs on it and twice I ate the oriental grilled chicken salad with dressing on the side, honey bbq boneless wings and once I got shooter and was naughty! All the other times I did my shakes!

My pre-op diet was for 2 weeks. I followed it the best I could and I lost over 10lbs, but if i went out to dinner with my mom i didn't deprive myself. Just made a wise choice. I was told my surgery was very boring and only 45 minutes long. My liver was in a great condition.
