I love to experiment in the kitchen. Today I took 15 ounces of Premium Canned Chicken Breast (3-5oz cans DRAINED), 1/2 cup of Hidden Valley Fat Free Ranch, 1/2 cup Shredded Sharp Cheddar, 4 slices of Butterball Turkey (Diced) and Tony Chachere's to taste; mixed it all together. Not too bad for a different take on canned chicken. According to the MyFitnessPal App the nutrition breaks down this way for a FOUR (4) ounce serving.. Calories: 193 Total Fat: 7g (saturated 3.2) Cholesterol: 35mg Sodium: 957.5mg Total Carbs: 7g (Sugars3g) Net Carbs 7g Protein: 20.5g Calcium 12.5% Iron 3% Vitamin A 3% Vitamin C 3% If you try it let me know what you think

Celebrating my 2 month SURGIVERSARY by weighing in at 295 pounds. That is a loss of 59 pounds since I started all the pre-surgery requirements and 37 pounds since surgery on 11/30/2020. I am loving this.

I like to mess around with ingredients and cook. Today for lunch I grabbed a can of roast beef, refried beans, Mexican blend cheese, and fajita seasoning. Added some hot sauce after cooking... not bad. 1 10 oz can roast beef (drain as much of the gravy as possible should be 5-6 oz beef) 8 oz No Fat Refried Beans 2 oz Mexican Blend Cheese 1/2 pack Fajita seasoning I mixed it all in a skillet, heated on medium heat until HOT. Weighed out 4 oz added hot sauce, Tony Sacheres, and garlic powder to taste. Definitely hits the spot when craving tacos. According to my app each 4 oz serving is around 135 cal, 11 g carbs, 15 g protein and 3 g fat. If you try this please let me know how it was.

I was upfront and open to all my friends and family and from the beginning the level of support, both before and after WLS has been amazing. Most realize that WLS is a decision that will benefit my health. Immediately after, at times, I felt overwhelmed by the calls checking to see if I needed anything and offering to do everything from cook, bring me soups or walk my dog. I think the decision to open up at the beginning was an important decision for my post surgery mental well being.

Bit of a "traffic jam" Hate to hear about your cancellation...My first op date was 3/28/2020 but due to covid I was pushed to 11/30. Keep the faith and keep working the pre diet. I wish I had done something like two decent, but correctly portioned meals and 2 premier protein drinks a day from March to November..May have not needed the surgery..LOL As far as the "traffic jam", my surgical team recommends 1 dose of MIralax in 12-16 oz of water, vitamin water per day to keep traffic moving

I have been able to pass gas controllably since surgery, at this point the only pain I am experiencing is direct pressure on incisions. I was able to sleep on my side 3 nights ago. I have not used a belly brace. AS of this morning I have lost 13 lbs since surgery. I have stuck to my surgeon's diet to the letter. Maintaining 60oz of clear fluids, 60 grams of protein and during week 2 (pureed) I have also started focusing on trying to get 60 grams of carbs. I get to start soft foods tommorow AM and I am soooo looking forward to that scrambled egg.

Sounds a little extreme to me...I had my 1 week F/U 4 days ago and my surgeon said light walking, nothing over 20lbs and NO CORE exercises until week 6 post op. He has not even broached the topic of EXPECTED weight loss..I am so sorry you are feeling so poorly.

Before I was able to be discharged, my surgeon made me drink 1 oz over 30 minutes, walk and urinate, and drink 1 ox over 10 minutes for an hour at a time (60oz at 1 oz every 10 minutes). It was not pleasant, but 10 days post I am progressing very well.

I have one like taht as well, it is on the left and goes through a lot of muscle and where they removed most of the "excess" stomach. Yesterday at my 1wk post op follow-up, my surgeon said that was normal and very common in almost all his patients.

11/30...Home on 12/1. Began the clear liquid diet 12/1 (60 oz of clear fluids, 40-60 grams protein), transitioned to full liquids 12/4...get to move to puree foods tomorrow as well as 1wk post follow-up. Been trying to average to walk as much as possible and work out the soreness.

Relax, everything will go perfectly. In a few short hours you will start your new path.

Like I mentioned in another post, I am amazed at the low level of general pain that I am feeling. I cannot wait until I get to move to pureed foods on Tuesday. Incision sites are heeling well and itching but fairly normal routine and feeling. How are you feeling?

Opurity Chewable Multivitamin and Calcium Citrate were recommended by by surgeon and his staff, but left the door open for me to choose what I could find (except gummies, they were not big on gummies???). Only 4 days post, but no major issues with the chewables.

Noob here...first post. I am 4 days Post-Op Bariatric Sleeve (11/30/2020) and suffering through the SIP, SIP, SIP torture. I am truly amazed at the lack of residual pain. I started this journey almost 2 years ago at a massive 364 and almost 47 BMI, due to covid my original op date was pushed and this past Monday I weighed 332 (almost 43 BMI) when I laid on table. Agree that the timing really interferes with the Holiday meals, but I cannot wait to see the results.
