Sorry I have been away from home a long time and didn't see your reply when I was on line (not so comp. savy). I live in Vancouver. Who is your surgeon? It sounds like he's very good. I am seriously considering going to sleeve from lap. I just can't afford it yet after all the money for the lap. Do you know roughly what the revision might cost with your doctor. Your help is so valued thanks Vinnieboomba

I have heard of surgeons who prefer to go from band to RnY but there are TONS of people on OH who have gone from band to sleeve with no problem. My surgeon does these revisions and so do others. What part of the country are you from?

I think you are great i've seen your posts and blog and your info is always great and unbiased. I was wondering your thoughts on changing from lap to sleeve. The lap thing hasn't worked for me and I'm seriously considering the change. My lap Dr. says he doesn't like to do them and prefers to go lap to bypass, I don't want that. Any suggestions from you on Dr. who would and aprox. prices, as well as possible disadvantages of doing this would be very much appreciated. I know you and wasabubblebutt love your sleeves. Sorry, WASaBubbleButt I think my tone of e-mail may have come across wrong. I was truly interested in your experience of having both operations and the pros and cons and wether you are happy. I didn't mean it as just a rant. That was the frustration showing of losing 30 lbs pre and post and regaining it. Sincerely, V

Wasabubblebutt....So you paid for 2 operations? Did you pay full price for both? I couldn't decide til last sec. between band and sleeve...wish I had picked sleeve I think the band is bit of scam. Gives me nothing i did not already have! I needed willpower and I still do except i risked my life. Haven't lost anything but $8000. People on here tell me exactly what i was told before i decided to do it....eat less ty skip carbs Ty eat slow chew more ty so what's the band and $8000 do for you? Don't mean to denegrate the accomplishments of the great people who have lost over 100 lbs but i've done that without the band doing the things above and gained it back. The band was supposed to do SOMETHING besides occasionally let make me barf on skinny people.. Sorry to whine but so far to me the band is a big FAIL why not get a choker around neck and tighten it a notch every two weeks....same odds of losing weight or your life from obesity....LOL

Never mind sharon I see your point. Yes they still are meeting a Lionsgate hosp. on a regular basis. I just haven't gone,myself. Perhaps send a message directly to Patricia. They met last on July 17th in conference room C at LGHospital.:thumbup: Vanman
