Hi. I've been suffering from pcos since teenage, having all the symptoms like weight gain, facial hair, irregular periods etc.. I have had my gastric sleeve in november 2020 and lost 25 kg in total. I have seen improvement with my pcos symptoms, for example getting a regular period cycle, less facial hair and obviously weight loss. Now, almost after 2 years my period cycle is getting irregular again. Increasing 2-4 days every month. For example, 30 days cycle in June, 34 days in July and 36 days plus (still missing) in August, and I'm definitely bot pregnant. Has anyone else had the same problem? I'm really worried that my Pcos might kick.in again. My weight is on a stall, as I'm not doing much at the moment. Please share your experiences Thank you Sent from my SM-N960F using BariatricPal mobile app

Hey. Sure it's absolutely ok with me. I'm 10 weeks out now and lost 33lbs. I'm losing slower than many others here but as far as its going downwards I'm happy. I have had my periods twice in last 2 months and a cycle of about 40 days. Which was not normal for me, not to forget. Plus they stopped by themselves, which never happened usually. Always had to take some hormone tablets to regulate or even stop the bleeding. The blood flow was very heavy though but hopefully it will settle down too. It's really working for me. There are certain times when I feel low and think things might not work out but then I embrace the situation try to work through it. Just as we do in normal situations [emoji18] Wish you all the best for your surgery and hope things work out for you too. Always here if you would like to hear more. Take care xx Sent from my SM-N960F using BariatricPal mobile app

Thank you all for your comments. I have read more negative reviews than positive about ACV so changed my mind. Also I think too its too early to start on that. I will definitely speak to my team before starting it in future. xx Sent from my SM-N960F using BariatricPal mobile app

Hi. I'm 9 weeks out of WLS now. Lost 15 kg since my highest weight. I have a question about apple cider vinegar post surgery.. was reading about all the benefits it has. Is it safe to take apple cider vinegar at this stage? What about the apple cider vinegar gunmies "Goli". Really hyping everywhere nowadays. Any experiences? Thanks in advance x Sent from my SM-N960F using BariatricPal mobile app

Is it safe to use flaxseed or chia seed at this stage? What about eating raw cucumber or fruits? I'm still afraid of adding those in my diet. Just started with half a banana in protein shake. I was thinking of adding protein powder to the green smoothie to keep the intake up. Thank you for your suggestions Sent from my SM-N960F using BariatricPal mobile app

I was watching some good videos about smoothies and overnight oats. A good way to add in your protein powder, veges and fruits. Only if you like them(smoothies and overnight oats) ofcourse. Sent from my SM-N960F using BariatricPal mobile app -
Thank you all for your replies, always very helpful. I suffer from PCOS, thats also the main reason I decided to have the surgery. My body is insulin resistant and the hormone levels are crazy. Maybe this is the reason why I'm on the lower side of weightloss. Honestly I'm glad that I'm losing weight at all because few months ago that sounded impossible for me, no matter how hard i tried because of all the health issues. Now after the surgery I have lost 26lbs in total, I have started my vitamins regularly and YES I feel much better, energetic and motivated to do more. I agree losing more inches is better because you can see the results on your body. I just feel people still put me under pressure by asking how much I've lost and then say "o that's not enough, aren't you supposed to lose more with surgery?" I'm tired of explaining that everyone is different and losing slowly is as good as anything else. People must be thinking surgery is like magic and you will lose all the weight within days [emoji849] As suggested by all of you, I will continue with what I'm doing because it works for me. And maybe just read the posts and not compare myself to others. All your comments and suggestions are much appreciated [emoji5] Sent from my SM-N960F using BariatricPal mobile app

Hi everyone. Just reading through several posts how people struggle to eat after WLS whereas I'm absolutely fine with everything. I'm 6 weeks out now and lost almost 26lbs since my highest weight. Now to the main point.. I read people eating 500- 600 cal a day. I count each and every calorie I take in and land between 800-1000 cal a day with 1.5 ltr fluids. I take 3 meals and 2 snacks a day. Without them I can't manage my 90g of protein daily. This is the amount my program suggests. Even if I would take protein shake only as 3 meals it will still make 600cal. How does a 500-600 cal a day meal plan look like? It would be really helpful if someone could share their plan. I had a stall at 3 weeks which lasted about 2 weeks. I wasn't eating much at that time and didn't have my 90g of protein. Since I have started to take the 90g of protein daily the scale has started to go down again. Plus I have lost more inches than weight on the scale. I feel guilty by reading all these 500cal comments and think I'm doing something wrong. Maybe I will not lose any more weight. Can anyone else relate to this? [emoji51] Sent from my SM-N960F using BariatricPal mobile app

Thank you all for your replies. Honestly I can't remember anything suggested by the team about caffeine. So why is caffeine bad after surgery? I'm just having one cup of tea with milk a day atm. But as I mentioned before I really want more hot drinks during the day, thought Green tea would be safe. As many of you still have green tea, i think it should be fine. Better than other hot drinks like coffee etc.. Isn't it? Sent from my SM-N960F using BariatricPal mobile app
