Just go final thumbs up from insurance:thumbup: My heart goes out to you guys on the liquid diet. I get to have 3oz of meat 3 x a day and broth for 5 days.

Yes I'm very luck 3 oz of protein 3 x a day with 2 cups of Broth and all the calorie Sugar free drinks. Your blanket must be a samll shred of nothing by now...lol

Well I deceided and called the Insurance company and they said I was APPROVED yesterday. so tomorrow I will take my special meds i need for the Pre-op diet which is meat, meat and more meat three times a day. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT :thumbup:

Ok I have a silly question where you able to sleep in your own PJ's our did you have to stay in that cold Draft Johnny?? I have a special blanket...( No Laughing) that I sleep with every night and it would make me feel a heck of alot better. On a happy note i got insurance approval today YAHOOOOO and i'm all set for the 18th. Tomorrow I start my Pre Op diet which consists of meat, meat and nothing but meat for 5 days:wink2:

Ok I'm scheduled for surgery on the 18th and I'm supposed to start my pre-op diet tomorrow but I'm still waiting for my insurance approval. The Insurance guru and my office states she doesn’t see it being a problem and if it was they would have said something already. WELLL the dilemma is do I start the diet ... do I call the insurance co.... I hate to be a pest and I've talk to the insurance guru 2 x last week and she keeps telling me not to worry. :thumbup: I can't sleep ...I'm getting short tempered and the anxiety is driving me nuts. WHAT DO I DO!!!

I hate that Darn Scale especailly the digital.. there is nothing left up to interpertation:cursing: I've doen better this month but I do a personal weigh in in the AM after I've gone to the bathroom and before the shower:blushing: Someone told me if you weigh yourself after your skin abosorbs aboout 1-2 lbs.:glare: Not sure if it's true but it was enough for me and my OCD to obesses on it. I'm looking forward to the scale dial going downward and being able to walk into any DARN store and buy a pair of pants!!!! Here's to NOVEMBER :party:

NERVOUS... Start my one week post op on Thursday....trying not to go through the last supper phase...lol..Going to get Vitamins tomorrow and start them and it appears a few people are having prolems with Iron Levels so I may start a little extra Iron this week. How are you holding up?

Teresa, It appears everyone's wait time is different... I had to go through the 6 mos wait and had to test everythign shown below the ticker. My paperwork was faxed on 10/31 and was Received 11/3 and they told me it could take up to 30 days ....sooooo I may/may not be banded on the 18th that is pending approval. My Husband thinks i'm nuts to do it through the Holiday's but I figured it will keep me on track and I will be a few LBS. thinner on New Years. Good Luck on your journey I have heard BC/BS Sheild responds promptly because they are such large companies they process them all the time.

Welcome, I have AETNA Health Insurance and I called them directly to see how much they were going to pay... I was suprised they cover 90% of the operation. There were paticular guidelines that I had to follow.. 6 mo Supervised Dietician Visits, 10 lbs lost, :thumbs_up:from my PCP & the list below. It's so worth it I'm ready for the New & Improved version of me:tt1: Good luck read the threads and never be afraid to ask questions I learn so much here everyday.

As you can see from my signature these are the thigns I had to do with AETNA health Insurance:lol:. In addition i had to do 6 mo's of a diet. I was up and down and all over but I did make changes. Doing Bloodwork on money and meeting with the surgical nurses at the Hospital.

I get my shakes at my local " Stop & SHop" but I know Walmart & Target both sell them.

Ebony I'm glad your feeling better. I just ordered these... What was the amount the Dr. told you to initially take. I Start preop diet next week and I want to be prepared. My prayers are with you.
