Hi Molly, Thanks for the post. I know it's difficult to stick with a diet plan but we have to do it don't we...lol. I just made an awesome frozen strawberry smoothie that only has 70 calories and 0 fat. It was just what I needed to get me through the rest of the afternoon. Good luck and keep posting! Beth
  5. Hi Jess, My name is Beth and I'm in the pre-op 6-mo. wt. loss period that my insurance requires. I goofed off the first two months and didn't lose any. But I'm sticking to my plan now. I too want this surgery very badly. I've been obese for a little over 20 yrs. now. I'm 54 now. You can lose the wt. required first also. Just set your mind to do it. It helps me to keep my food journal. I count calories and fat grams. I'm keeping my calories at 1200 per day. I wish you all the best in your journey. The year will pass before you realize it.

Hello All, My name is Beth. I'm new to this site and am currently on a 6-mo. doctor monitored wt.-loss program that my insurance requires. I'm in the 3rd month now. I'm doing okay, but wasn't doing so well the first two months. 1200 calories is a lot less than I'm accustomed to. I didn't exercise much the first two months and also didn't lose much weight. But now I'm getting on my treadmill every day. I'm also keeping a food journal now. I look forward to reading your posts.
  7. Hi JD, I'm new to the site and am currently in my 3rd month of a doctor-monitored wt. loss program that my insurance requires before surgery. Do you know why they requrie this? I can't seem to find an answer.
