Don't worry about what anybody else thinks. I'm such an open book it's hard from me not to tell everyone. I've had family members question what I'm doing but, it's purely out of love. And I'm sure in your case it's the same...surgery is a scary thing, and of course the one's who love you are going to worry. Salgal-Has your friend being losing? -

So you got your date in early July! I wish I would have thought of asking them to schedule me early....I changed mine to August 6, because I'm going to be on Vac the last week of July and I want to have a better time then I would with the band!(:

I was looking at your new pictures...You look so purdy! So I have my surgery date, it was going to be July 21 but, I changed it to August 6th because I have front row tickets to Fergie on the July 31th, and I'm going to be out on my sister's boat that weekend.....I don't think that would be a good start to my new way of life!

I know what you mean...with my luck I know that's going to happen to me! I'm kind of second guessing my decision as far as what surgery I should go with. Although with lab band most likely to keep it off vs. the other.

Hi, I'm super excited about getting Lab Band Surgery...but, I'm alittle worried about feeling it inside me. Does it hurt to lay on it? How bad are the scars afterwards? -
I'm glad that your starting to fill some restriction, are you still down your 20 pds...or have you lost more? I wonder why it took almost 3 weeks to fill it? I'll be looking forward to reading about the out come.(:

That is too funny! When I got married (I was a size 4!), we would be going to bed and my husband (ALWAYS) would tell me...I'm so glad you don't snore, I could never marry a girl that snored. And quess what happened after my 3rd child and all the extra weight???? I started snoring, my poor husband not only did he go from having a skinny wife (to a fat wife) but, from a wife who didn't make a peep in her sleep...to snoring LOUD! Talk about for better or worse...I least I know he really loves me!LOL(: What a great gift that will be for him someday soon I hope!

Thanks so much for putting your scar picture's up! I don't know anyone who has had it done, and I've been wondering what it was going to look like. How do they look now? Any pictures???(: I get my surgery date on Thursday (June 26th, 2008), I'm really excited. I'm so glad I found your blog and I'm really enjoying! Take Care, Helen

Thanks for all your answers! It's very helpful....I would much rather be healthy & thin again and have scars, but my stomach was always my best feature. Oh well I'll live!(:
