    TIRED OF MIND GAMES

great post lovethenewme very encouraging. I came here today after a 4 year hiatus. I was an early adopter to the band back in 2005. I lost some weight but never gave up the bad habits and even found some new bad habits and behaviors. Gained all the weight back and this week just reapplied myself and began tracking my food and "obeying" my band, not eating through it, as I call it, burping, barfing, hiccuping, not carb loading, not eating soup to ease up the band, not attempting to eat pizza and stopping just before I am full. Its amazing I'm down 5 lbs already and it hasnt been hard. I think the hardest thing is sitting down for a meal and eating so little when others are eating so much. Creating new habits - good habits is important and that is what I'm after now. I agree with you, after 8pm eating is done also eating slow and stopping between bites keeps away the wonder of am i barfing because I full or because food is stuck. All a horrible mind game that I am much happier to avoid. The band is a tool the rest is a lifestyle change and change is never easy, but possible. Thanks again for the good post and encouragement

    another lie

Try the company named GYMSOURCE. They have a program for 12 month interest free financing. Came out to about $200.00 a month payments. I don't now your financial situation but I bought the Model 37e Octane Brand. Suppossedly Johnny Depp bought the same model ( like I care).
  6. i stayed home one day after surgery then went to work the day after. I had no choice, and I'm stubborn too. I took it easy - didnt lift anything but I felt 100%better in about 1 week. Pace yourself and know evryone is different

    Hi All

Hi everyone- I need some support I hope I can find it here. I'm Sir Fran. I was banded Oct 06. I'm 41 I live in NJ I lost some weight but have seriously tried evrything I can to defeat this thing inside of me and I have been winning the battle. I am renewed though today, I heard of a fellow businessman who lost a TON of weight and overheard someone saying he had "the band" done. This guy is so thin now. Thing is I'm hungry all the time, I'm a stress eater and I have my share of troubles, my first thought is to eat. Then I eat so fast, because the food tastes so good, then I barf and keep on eating after that. I 've had my band tightened a lot of times, its tight, trust me it is. I've just gotten so good at eating around it. I just remembered today like a giant epiphany that its a tool to help me lose weight, its just an aid, I still have to make the effort. So today I tried. I didn't barf at all today. I wasn't perfect, ate some snack type food, but far less than I normally do. I even did ten minutes on the exercise machine. I really want to do this, even more than when I got the band. I actually weighed dinner and I am still eating it now, counting the number of times I chew. What ever it takes to make it stick in my brain. Guess what I'm asking is...what does everyone out there in Lapband world eat? I need some ideas for Breakfast, quick meals, Snacks if anyone eats them? Does anyone else weigh their food? what do you do when you go out to eat? How about alcohol, I mean beer is out because of all the damn bubbles and carbonation, but I have taken an affinity to Gin lately, any one else drink alcohol? help me out people... and thanks:unsure:
