My doc wants liquids for 4 days and then back to normal. I only made two :-(

Today, I discovered that when I pick my daughter up, her legs can wrap all the way around me...I can also run for 20 minutes straight and not die!

As for me, I did week 5 day 3 today. I had been stressing about it since last week, thinking there was no way I was ready for a 20 minutes run. Today, it was no big deal...I could have ran longer but had to pick up my daughter from swim lessons. I am so thrilled!

I know it sounds weird, but you may also need more calories. I know that my weight loss is much more steady when I have around 1200 calories a day versus 1000. I track on the daily plate and watch my charts.

Thx Donna, but I was just saying on our other thread I feel kinda stuck(as far as what i'm losing now) Kinda 1lb up and down this past week and a half. I know my calorie intake is good (1000) I guess I need to step up the exercise. I have good restriction (4.4 in a 10cc) If i had any more right now I wouldn't be able to eat. I guess i'm lucky, I hardly ever get what I'ld call hungry. I also know it'll pick back up I've just been in one of those moods the last couple of days.

My nutritionist said I could (according to post-op stages). I never did though, I had a hard enough time feeding it to my baby when she was little. It is a mental thing with me...LOL!

I'd call your doctor and stay away from gum from now on if you have a tendency to swallow...Altoids makes great sugar free mints that tackle the breath issue.

It sounds to me like you are too tight, you should be able to eat most regular foods and not just liquids. That is not healthy. I think you need to do anything necessary to find proper aftercare.

You may need to watch...eating so little isn't good, too few calories equals no weight loss. Keep an eye on it for a few days, you may just be a tad too tight.

B - Dannon Light & Fit 0%+ strawberry yogurt

L - Del Monte Harvest Selections chicken Cacciatore only about 1/3 of it

S - strawberries and cool whip free

D - chipotle bbq snack wrap from McD's

S - McD's ice cream cone (2 bites before I discovered it wasn't a good idea)

I have paid absolutely $0 for any of my surgery, pre-op stuff, fills, program fees, etc. I used the base hospiatal nutritionist for my nut eval and called ValueOptions (they are contracted through Tricare South, not sure about other regions) to find a pysch who would do my WLS eval.

I haven't ran into too many problems foods yet. I can eat bread but after a bite or two, I start feeling full and that is NOT what I want to waste my calories on.

I have a 6 year old son, I told him that I was having the surgery to help mommy get healthy so we can play more and run. I also told him that this is also going to help mommy eat healthy and his response was that he wanted to eat the same things as me and he was fine with the whole thing. Your kids will be ok and this will be a positive thing. Just remeber that.

This is what I told my daughter...I guess though, after figuring out how to tell my daughter about my cancer diagnosis earlier this year, the lapband didn't phase me at all. She's 6 BTW.

B - about 3/4 of a 1 egg/1 egg white scramble with cheese and 2 turkey sausage links

L - nada

S - 100 cal Cheddar Chex pack

D - 1 roasted wiener, 2tbs baked Beans, 3tbs potato salad, 1/2 Jim N Nicks cheese biscuit, 1 Tomato slice, 1 dill pickle slice, 1 s'more (we had a staff party out on a ranch)

Well, I think when you are able to excercise, that will help a lot. Do you track your foods? Are you eating Protein first, then veggies, then if you have room carbs? Are you eating slider foods?

You may be doing things right, some people are just slower losers but if not, the things above can really affect the loss.

I believe it is a detriment to the child when a mother doesn't nurse.

Well then, I guess I ruined my child:crying:.

I have no issues with nursing, I wanted to but physically did not produce enough milk. That being said, my child is rarely ever sick (not even once a year) and is intellectually gifted. So, should I feel bad about not nursing?!

Welcome! A lot of the time, reflux is caused by the band being too tight...sometimes, even the smallest unfill (like .1 or .2) can help.
