    2 crazy questions!

I certainly hope not, because ever since I had my daughter 6 almost 7 years ago, I often dry heave when I brush. I have been using straws since day one. My doctor didn't see any reason not to use one and I love my straws. As for gum, I finally had a piece the day before my 3 week post-op mark. No issues.

My 20's are huge and a new pair of 18's are already getting lose... Must go shopping soon or I am not going to have anything to wear to work and I don't think going in nekkid would be a good thing at a church:-)

Short term goals for July Butterflies

Mine is to get back in the gym walking at least 3x a week starting Monday. I want to be able to easily walk the ACS 5k at the end of September. I was running 5k's back in December but got diagnosed with cancer in February and shut down...haven't been back to the gym since. I'm still not cleared for *real* excercise but walking I can do.

    Tightness in the morning????

Your esphogas swells at night, so it is perfectly normal to be tight in the morning.

Do you put your fork down in between every bite? I used to eat really fast and getting into that habit has helped a lot!

  19. It is extremely hard to stretch your pouch on liquids...they flow right through the band, unobstructed unless you are extremely too tight.
  20. You need to eat at least 3x a day to keep your metabolism going. They don't have to be huge, they can be small.

    July Butterflies Master Thread

I had my second post-op appt today and was down another 5.3 pounds for 12.9 total now. I go back in 4 weeks and get my first fill then. My doc also took me off of my high blood pressure meds since it has been getting lower and lower and he doesn't want me to have any issues. I see my PCM in 2 weeks so we'll see if it stays down :-) And, I am on to regular food...YAY!!!
