  1. Thank you all so much for the input! It's very helpful!
  2. I’ve lost 21 lbs post op and I am very happy about that but I feel like I should be losing more. For the past month weight loss is every other week. I know that losing slow can be better for saggy skin and I also know that I don’t exercise enough, but I feel like I’m failing. I’m so afraid that I will stop losing and become a failed surgery. I follow the eating plan and fluid/protein intake requirements....maybe I’m just overthinking.

    Am I losing too slowly?

Thank you all so much for your input!
  4. I am 5 weeks post op and have lost 15 lbs. Is this on the lower end of losing? I don’t get much exercise in and am trying to work on that, but I feel a bit like I’m failing myself. Input is appreciated!
  5. Thank you all for your input. I feel so much better about my results! I was concerned because my surgeon said one hour of exercise in, 5 times a week. I cannot do that at this point.
  6. I am having the biggest problem getting the motivation to exercise. I have no energy to do so. I am 3 weeks post op and have only lost 12 lbs. I feel defective and like the surgery may not work as well on me. I also get cravings like crazy on some days. Idk, I really hope I turn things around.
  7. First of all, let me extend a big hug to you. You need it! I agree with what is stated above; a mental health professional would be a good idea. I’m so sorry that your health team hasn’t been supportive. I am very fortunate to have a great team. I can’t speak for you, but, if it were myself, I would continue my journey for myself. I have put things in my life on hold, due to other people, long enough and decided to stop this behavior. I hope this helps!
  8. I am 11 days post-op and I had my follow up today. I thought I was doing fine, mentally, but this afternoon I am feeling very down and I don’t know why. I could cry at any moment. Anyone else have this problem post-op?

Feeling Hungry @ 17 days post op...

I am 11 days post-op. I find myself having cravings and “head hunger “ as well. I’m really working on analyzing “Am I really hungry or just having a craving”. I’ve had a bad relationship with food in my adult life due to food being locked up as a child. If I don’t change how I think then I may see a therapist to help work it out.

One week post-op and on liquid diet.

Thank you all for your input! I need all the assistance I can get and I am feeling better about it all.
  11. I had my surgery last Thursday and I am on my liquid diet. I am constantly questioning if my sleeve is small enough. I am basing my food intake on protein as much as possible, but is it normal to get cravings? I didn’t think it was. I also can eat 1/4 c of food already. Everyone else I have heard about has like two bites and is really full. I’m just worried and unsure. I need to get healthier. I have already lost 9.2 lbs, and that is great! I just would hate for my sleeve to be too big and it to not be the tool it’s supposed to be to help me. I am not giving in to cravings and am following my diet. Any advice/ input would be appreciated.
