Hello, I was banded in 2008 in Monterrey and was seeing Dr. Stephanie in Tyler for refills. Does anyone have any other suggestions for refills? I'm in Brenham and can easily get to Austin, Houston or Bryan/College Station. Dr. Garwood in B/CS is no longer doing them. Thanks for the help! Kim

I was banded 6/24/08 in Monterrey Mexeico by Dr, Zapata. I started at 236 with a BMI of 39. So far I am down 14 lbs. Is that a normal amount of weight to lose the first 4 weeks? Can I expect to lose at that rate in the next months to come. Thanks for your help.

Congratulations Ashley, I am 16 days post op and feel great. I was able to sleep on my left side on day 5 and on my stomach on day 9. I had a quick 12 lb. loss the first 10 days but have not done anything since. I understand that's normal until your first fill. Cream of wheat, oatmeal and smoothies are now my new favorite things. They goes down really well and seem to stay with me and keep me feeling full. Good luck to you, hope it all goes well. Kim

I am scheduled for surgery next week in Monterrey and am having trouble finding a Dr. in my area that will do fills. Does anyone know of a Dr. in the Bryan/College Station, Tx area? There are a dozen or so Dr.'s locally that will do the lapband but I have not found one that will touch me for the fill.

I too am scheduled to be banded with Dr. Zapata next week on the 24th of June. I am beginning to get nervous.
