    September 2009 Band Date

I am shocked, but i want to be added to the September banding list. I got my insurance approval on Friday and I called to schedule my surgery. My doctor’s office called me back on Tuesday of this week and asked how does Friday sound. I am shocked. I have not had my results appointment yet so that is tomorrow as well as my pre op appointment at the hospital. I have been trying to get insurance approval for a year and bam…here it is. I don’t have time to get nervous. I will find out tomorrow from my doctor what I need to do after the surgery and I will have to shop for liquids I am aloud. This is happening so quickly, anyone have advice on what they were ate after surgery? I feel like I am on Mr. Toad’s wild ride. My head is spinning but I have been waiting for this for so long.
  4. I have bcbs national insurance. I had many hoops to jump thru. I have been trying to get approval for almost a year now. I got a call today that my insuance finally approved my surgery. It has been a long road but i can see the light (let it not be a train)...i went back and forth thinking maybe it is taking so long because it is not supose to happen...but here we are i got approved today. I am happy and a little afraid. So next week my doctor will schedule my surgery.

    Someone please help

Hi, I want to say you do what you can to get from one day to the next. You can’t change the past but you have a long future to look forward to. Forgive yourself and get back on track one step at a time. Do you have support where you are living now? My husband has many medical issues and I have spent the last 20 years dealing with his issues. This year I said it is my turn and I am starting the process of the lap band surgery. You can get back on track. It is time to take care of youself again. You can do it. There is so much support here and I bet there are many people who struggle to keep on track. Hang in there and start with one good decision to get back on track.

    Hello -- I'm new!

Hi, this is my first post. I am starting on my path of getting the lap band. I have had my first doctor appointment with Dr. Enochs. Now on the journey of getting everything ready for insurance approval and testing done. I am excited and afraid of the whole process. I live in Cary and I have two kids. My son is 23 and my daughter is 13. I have been married for 24 years. My husband and kids are very supportive of my choice. I look forward to all the support I will get here too. The posts are so supportive and encouraging.
