I went to my doctor yesterday and he gave me a fill. I was pretty happy because I have had no restriction since I was completely unfilled in October. He has been gradually filling me like.10 cc at a time every 2 weeks. Not bad. But anyway since Octorber I lost 24 pounds but gained back 7 pounds. the doc was not upset but he decided to perscribe me 15mg of Phentermine per day. 1 Pill a day. I guess my big question is has anyones doctor perscribed this weight lose pill to anyone and if so how much have they lost? Also have you had any side effects? I am a little scared about taking it because 6 years ago i was addicted to diet pills to the point where my liver almost shut down. My doctor did say I would not get addicted if I stick to the rules of 1 pill per day. I have not yet started to take them yet I would love to see what everyone else says Thank you Vickie __________________

Well Dr. Randall is at Lawerence Memorial Hospital in Medford so this is the same man you are talking about. He is a kind man and it is unfortunate that your mom had a bad experience. Guy do you go to the meetings?

I had my surgery by Dr. Randall last year. Al I can say is that he is a wonderful and caring man. I see him every 6 weeks and if I neeed anything in between I can email or call him if it is urgent. Metalband maybe your mom just had some complications. I highly doubt the care he gave to her was horrible

I was banded on 4/11/06 and my husband was banded 6/20/07 between the both of us our lose is around 175 pounds

I gave it about 1 week post op. I am an occasional smoker. 1 -2 hits and I am roasted but feeling really goooooooooooooood

Wow-Wheetsin You have lost alot of weight. Congrats. Anywho I mad an appointment with the psych doctor and before I decide to take any type of pill I need to talk to her. My biggest fear is getting hooked.

My biggest pet peeve is when I walk into someone's home and it is an absolute mess. In my house my friends say they need coasters for thier feet. I have this one friend that I have known now for 7 years and I have only been to her house 3 times and I need Golashes for her house

Hey Guys it was great meeting you all on Saturday. I was talking with my hubby and told him that I met some wonderful people. He said the next time there is a get together he will come. So john next time you wont be the only man. On another note. I left my camera at my girlfriends house Saturday Night. I am sure us woman can relate to this I am not sure who wrote it but it was posted in my docs office yesterday and I had to take a copy of it and share it with everyone The Woman in the Mirror Walking past the mirrored glass, I take a timid peak. I see a woman staring back, I am to choked up to speak. The puffiness, at last is gone, the skin pink and glowing. The many pounds that melted off, Finally, now is showing. Hard to believe until recently, the same woman was dying. Stuffing the food to ease the pain, Heartbroken and crying. Life revolved around each snack,She lived for every meal. Anything to numb the hurt, She did not want to feel. When did she get so pretty? When did God remove this grief? How did this miricle happen? Who provided this relief? What a gift!! A second chance!! I thank god everyday. For his grace in showing me, there is a better way. I walk, I dance, I make love too, my heart is filled with gladness. I am out of bondage, I am out of pain, there is no more room for sadness. This woman in the mirror, Smiles softly back at me. She has good cause to be pleased, She has finally been set free!!! I decided to share this with everyone because you are all my inspiration. and i love you all (OH GOD I THINK I AM PMS'ing) Hope you all have a good day With much love Vickie

Baklava: How do you think I feel I married a Greek Man and my Mother in Law (who I love to pieces) lives downstairs. She makes it every week. I love it but I limit myself to 1 piece a month. It is addicting. Before my surgery I had a piece everyday.

Hi Joanne, Sorry about the problem. Sounds like you are overfilled. Yes I know it stinks. I was there last month. It was so bad that I couldnt even swallow my own saliva. You need to cvall your doctor and tell him what is going on. He will probally suggest that you go into the emergency room and they will do a swallow test on you to make sure you did not slip and most likely he will either take out all the saline or partial. When this happened to me I was on my 4th fill. I went from having 2.7 in my band to nothing.... Once I was unfilled I felt a huge relief. I went back to the doctor after 2 weeks and he started over so right now I am 7 months out and I have .6cc in me. But I have not been getting stuck on anything and I an still losing weight. Once you are healed you will not even feel the port. It is so far under your skin that only if you push really hard you will feel it.
