WOW I am completely shocked with all the options of the protien shakes. I am currently on the PRE-OP Diet and this is what my Diet consists of 5 Carnation Instant Breakfast per day 2-3 fruits or vegies 1 cup of broth 64-100 ounces of 0 cal 0 carb Fluid So this is what my diet is everyday 7am 1 Carnation Instant Breakfast and a piece of fruit 10am 1 Carnation Instant Breakfast 12 pm healthly choice vegatable Soup this counts as your veggie and broth 3pm 1 carnation instant breakfast 6 pm 2 carnation instant breakfast and a peice of fruit 8 pm 1 sugarfree Jello And of course I have to take my muli Vitamin and Vitamin D as well and also push all the Water down my throat This is day 6 on this pre op diet and I have lost 11 pounds I never lost that much weight in a short period of time

Hi Everyone. Hope you are all doing well. I started my Liquid diet yesterday. Day 2 and I am feeling hungry. I breezed through it yesterday without even thinking of all my favorite foods. But today I woke up and I had my Carnation Instant Breakfast strawberry and a Granny Smith apple. Then at 10:30 i had yet anither shake this time vanilla. 12:30 is when I get to indulge and have a nice cup of soup well I went to Panera (they have the best soup) and I asked them to hold the bread :cry which happens to be my favorite. I ate my soup and I felt nice and full. Until 2:30 comes and now I once again have hunger pains I cant have another shake until 3:30 which is a complete bummer:angry I actually cried because I was hungry and I really want to have the will power to do this. I looked at my boss and I told him I had to go for a walk he said no problem take as much time as you want He is just a supportive as my husband ( I have to say he is the best boss that anyone could have) so at 3:20 my boss actually made my shake for me. How awesome is that. He looked at me and he told me that he believed in me. And that i can acomplish anything. He should know in just a year I achieved more than most of his sales reps:D . So anyway now I am driving home from work I drive by 10 resterants and I didnt even stop I came home fed my son Macaroni and chees and after he was done I made my shake and had halp of a cantalope I think I did good What will tomorrow bring

Wow There are a few who are being banded on the 11th That is awesome. So as the time approaches how are you feeling. I am now experiencing anxiety :omg: I cant wait and I am making my self sick:sick by the anticipation Is anyone else experiencing this

Thank You for the info I really appreciate it. I will have my appointment with the dietician 3 weeks before my surgery date. That is when she will be giving me the liquid diet. How long did you have to be on the ld for?

Boy do I have questions where do I start Was anyone scared? How did it effect you marriage? What are you not allowed to eat? I can go on and on

Hello Everyone Well I am new here and this will be my first post. My name is Vickie and I am from Arlington MA. I am married with a child. I also work full time as a Sales Manager. I got my date last week and I will be Banded on 4/11/06. Just in time for me not to enjoy Easter dinner :cry . But I am dealing with it:) . I am hoping to meet some people out here who has had Dr. Sheldon Randall out of Lawerence Memrial Hospital in Medford MA who he has performed the Lap band on. I have met several people who he has done the Gastric Bypass on but never the Lap Band. Please let me know how your experience was with him. Other replies are welcomed of course.
