Hey all. Wasn’t sure what section to post this in. Question for those with tattoos and skin removal. I’m looking at tattoos on the front/ outside of my thighs and or the outside of my arm or shoulder blade area. I do know I want skin removal once I finish the rest of my weight loss. I am about half way. With the skin removal did your tattoos get stretched or warp in these areas with the continue right loss?

How to lift child post op, single mom
caitmarie posted a topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Hello all, I am trying to figure out ways that I can lift my child post op. I am a single mom and will only have help for maybe the first week after surgery. I have around 2 weeks off from the start of surgery until I go back to work in which I will need to be able to lift him into the van. Does anyone have any ideas? He is unable to get into his car seat but can get into the car so I have to lift him. -
Hello all. I tried bariatric advantage and they made me sick. I tried two forms of the multivitamin and two calcium’s and could not do them. So I asked around and some recommendations were for PatchAid patches. I got a 12 month pack. I had my post op visit (1 mo post). And Kaiser ripped to shreds the patches. As well told me to get over it that BA made me sick and just take them. I know they are affiliated with each other. But do patches really not work? I was only on the patch for a day before I got blood work done. I am very deficient in vitamin d And potassium. Everything else was okay. Any ideas ?

I have the patch aid ones so they have calcium carbonate instead of calcium citrate (not sure how they differ) everything else in numbers matches to what the doctor wants but "just not in a patch". My doctor also deplores gummy vitamins, I told him I was using a pre/probiotic that was a gummy and was told to switch that, that our stomachs are not supposed to be able to handle gummy, mine has so far.

What vitamin powder do you use?
-
I think this is how to reply, not sure. But yes, I already have both and was given prescriptions yesterday. I already have some heart problems thus a big part of me getting the surgery. I was already getting arm and leg numbness from the deficiency. I tried taking a calcium citrate from Costco and they were huge and got stuck in my throat even after cutting them down. The doctor with Kaiser just hates patches, I understand the reasoning behind but when chews and tablets make me sick and the pills are huge I am at a loss.

Hello all, I am just over a week post op. My migraines have been coming back full swing. I am trying to figure out if I am still allowed Tylenol and if so at what dose? I used to take 2-3 500mg tablets. Doctor has not been able to advise.

Hello all, What are your best low carb bread options? Costco in so cal only had one and it was still 12 net carbs per slice.

Every time I go to my Aldis it’s gone :(

@arabesque I am on them however I had to stop because they had to be taken with food and made me sick. I am unsure if I am allowed to start them up again or not. Still waiting on my doctor.

I have not had caffeine since before pre op. So it’s been 3-4 weeks. I would the pills still be okay or would a liquid Tylenol be better ?

Hello everyone. Thank you for accepting me into the community. I am scheduled for surgery 11/2/2020. I am a single mother of a 2 year old hyper boy. I will only be able to have help for the first week max. So if anyone has any tips that could help? I will still have to get him in and out of our car. Still have to pick him up at random. Does anyone think an abdominal binder would help? -
Please respond to this post by copying and pasting your surgery date. Look for the last person who responds as to minimize errors and not leave anyone out of the list who would like to be in it. November 2!
-
I’m scheduled on November 2. I just started pre op diet on Sunday. It’s been hard so far. I have gotten premier proteins in different flavors. I have lots of sugar and calorie free water mix ins. Broth sips. I have been trying to find sugar free popsicles but my stores are out so far. I have 4 oz Tupperware already so I didn’t want to get 2 oz ones. I did get a larger bottle (32 oz) and a cup (16) for work. Maybe something that can keep you busy? Coloring. Drawing. Music. Reading etc. I’ve found it easier when I’m busy.

My surgery date is November 2. I’m on day 3 of my pre op and it is really hard still. During the day while at work it isn’t Horrible until others around make their food and I remember I can’t have it. As well making my child meals sucks. Good luck!!
