  1. It's really not all that uncommon. They are 2 different meds that work differently . I'm just not sure why she needs both though. Tirzepatide is wonderful all on its own. Sent from my SM-S926U using BariatricPal mobile app

Less then 30 lbs to go...

Thanks everyone! I haven't exercised in about 1 month so I have to get back into that. I'm sure it will help. I'm incredibly happy with my weight loss, I just really want to get to goal. Mostly because I want to prove to myself that I can do it. I have loss large amounts of weight in the past (pre-surgery) only to get 20 ish pounds to goal and fall off the wagon so now that I'm close to that point... I'm afraid of a repeat. Although I keep telling myself that this time is different.

    Awesome! You look great!
  4. Gastric sleeve on 01/06/23, Loss a significant amount of weight the first few months but only about 12 lbs in the last 2 months. I have less then 30 lbs to get to goal but I feel like this may take awhile. Any suggestions besides the obvious (consuming recommended protein, drinking water, counting calories, weighing/measuring food, exercise, etc.)

    Weight loss shots

I took Ozempic for about 2 years for diabetes. I loss some weight but the side effects were atrocious. It did help with my A1C though. Sent from my SM-G991U using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. Don't blend it because it makes it more foamy. Use a shaker bottle and wait a few min for the foam to dissipate. Sent from my SM-G991U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Meal delivery service?

I've tried several meal delivery services and use them semi regularly (at least once a month). I've used HelloFresh, Blue Apron, Home Chef and Every Plate. Home Chef is by far my favorite but I liked them all except for Blue Apron. My only complaint would be the prep time which is why I like Home Chef the most as they have "fast" meals that cut down on the prep time.
  10. Give it time. You're still healing.

Post op and keeping food down

Maybe whatever you're eating just does not agree with your new pouch so early out.
  12. Sleeved 01/06/2023 and as of today I'm 200 lbs even. I'm supppppper close to ONEderland! I eat between 800-1200 calories a day (usually about 1000 calories a day). I attend aqua aerobics 1x a week and try to walk at least 5 days a week. With a desk job, I have to make a conscious effort to move because I sit so much. Overall I feel great, I still deal with fatigue but I'm anemic so that's to be expected... and still less tired then I was pre-surgery. My post-op bloodwork all came back great (with the exception of my iron which has always been an issue). Type-2 diabetes in remission. 5'5 SW 265 LBS, CW 200 LBS, GW 150 LBS

    frustrated, stalled, and lost

You can try to incorporate high calorie (but healthy) foods into your diet. For example: Avocado, PB (super yummy on banana or apple), use evoo or ghee to cook and not cooking spray, etc.
  14. I was on Ozempic for diabetes and it works WONDERS for that. You do get full faster so weight loss can be a side effect. With that said, the side effects were just not worth the benefits for me. More often then not, I felt like crap. I took it years before my surgery though.
  15. Honestly, what works for me is 1 day where I consume more calories then usual. I eat foods that are healthy but higher in calories (butter in my eggs, a bigger portion of avocado, 2% milk vs skim, etc) so it isn't like a day of pizza and burgers. LOL. This has always worked for me both pre and post op. There is a lot of info about this online. It basically tricks my body and I usually have a nice loss after.
