Should people barely over 200 lbs or below 200 get Lapband or any WLS...?

EVERYBODY (including the docs) told me I wasn't big enough for the surgery... and I was 292 pounds! They still tell me I need to STOP losing and I am still 201 pounds! Nobody knows your body like you do! Good luck with your surgery and your NEW BEGINNING! God Bless! -

hate to disagree with you, but I have only 2.8 cc in a 10 cc band... The amount of saline/fill you have has nothing to do wtih the type of restriction you have; it varies for everyone! I too have trouble eating mushies at this point, but hmarko is right.. the slower you eat, the better off you are! Good luck to all and God Bless! -
Don't measure your success by everyone else. Perhaps they had more to lose than you in the first place; we all know the closer you get to your normal weight, the harder it is to lose! 45 pounds is great! Keep up the good work! God Bless!

Good to see everybody doing so well! I had an appointment to get a fill last week, but my car quit on me the day before. Rescheduled for 12/04 ..... Been an eventful month.. for those of you who do not know, our home burned on 10/28 but we are doing well now! Our church, family, and community came together to remind us just how BLESSED WE REALLY ARE and HOW MUCH WE HAVE TO BE THANKFUL FOR! God Bless!

All of those of you who have been trying to contact me... Was just able to get back online... am on a borrowed computer. Our home burned down (total loss) on Oct 28, and we are kind of bouncing around until we can figure out what we are going to do. God is working things out for us though and I will holler when things settle back into a somewhat nromal routine! Keep us in your prayers!

40 years! That is wonderful! I hope to be back to a normal size by the time I have my 40. I went to my 30, and I was HUGE! Thank you for the comments! It really gave me a boost! You keep up the godo work and keep in touch! Hope to see "less of you" soon!
