    Unsure and Dissapointed

This is the link that I got financing from (through beliteusa.com) ... info@efinancing-solutions.com If you go through beliteusa, they do the paperwork for you! Here is the e-mail for a contact who can guide you through that process.. She is wonderful! Has had lap band and lost over 100 pounds herself and now works trying to help others with the process! terri@beliteweight.com Good luck!
  2. Man! That just about nailed it! Good job! Hang in there!
  3. I won't miss needing a "Bucket" to get my BIG HINEY UP IN THE SADDLE of my horse! LOL! AND I ALREADY don't miss having to take the steps ONE AT A TIME! Came down the stairs the other day and when I got to the bottom, I realized I walked down like a normal person (not sideways while holding onto the rail as I have for the past 5-6 years!)
  4. Whoa! you look GREAT! I love success stories! Keep up the good work!

Is there any hope at all...??????????

hey Girl! Don't give up on yourself! 39 pounds is NOTHING TO SNEEZE at! Just look to the future.. If you lost 39 last year, 39 this year.. that would be 78 POUNDS gone forever! I would love to wake up tomorrow and be thin again, but it didn't come on like that, and it definitely isn't coming off any quicker! lol! I agree people made it sound easier than it really is.. (TV commercial makes it sound like you will never be hungry again)! but it DEFINITELY is a tool we can use to get where we need to be! I just wish I had done it sooner! I kept waiting on the doc to tell me it was OKAY ............ Finally, I decided to take back my life and went to Mexico to get the band, and I still haven't told my doc! He is probably going to freak because I did it against his advise.. but he didn't know my body.. Only you can make these decisions for yourself! You hold your head up high! You haven't failed YET.. Giving up would be the worst thing you can do for yourself! If I gave up, I would be so big I couldn't get through the French Double Doors! God Bless! Hang in there!
  6. i haven't been able to eat meats or breads this WHOLE JOURNEY! I was banded nearly 7 months ago, and I have just accepted the fact i will not be able to eat meat or bread until i get to goal!
  7. hey good job! i too was banded in Tiajuana (1/20/08).. You have done great! Need to get some updated full-body pics on here! Show off a little bit! you deserve it!

  8. i think you look great! don't look like you have much to lose either! I too, have been a "talker" all my life.. and my son calls my Granddaughter "Little Debbie" cause she talks all the time.. Maybe we have things to say? huh? lol! Keep up the good work.. 11 pounds lost and still going.. this time next year, we will see "less" of each other! Good luck!

  9. I applaud you for your success and your ATTITUDE! It seems almost everyone thinks that what worked for them is the best for everybody! You, on the other hand, encourage people to find what works for them while all along moving forward in your own journey! Kudos! Keep up the good work!

Why are NEGATIVE comments easier for some people to make?

Your family seems to be a lot like mine! My family actually asked IF I HAD LOST ANY weight.. That was AFTER i had already lost 51 pounds and had given them some of my clothes to wear that were TOO BIG for me now but seemed to fit them fine. They acted like I was lying about it or something! Family can hurt you quicker than anybody. Luckily, I have a good man at home that loves and supports me at any weight/size and in any endeavor i undertake! Count your blessings! I married one of my biggest blessings and gave birth to 2 others! Keep up the good work!
  11. I thought my fill was too small also.. I think you will find about 2 weeks after, it seems to tighten up... I actually thought I was going to have to have an un fill 2 weeks later! I managed through it though and found my "sweet spot".. Good luck!

  17. J, I am glad you posted! I think all of us at one time or another have wondered if we made the right decision! I am for the most part, really happy with my band, but I too have days when it is fickle and won't allow me to eat (which probably is a really good thing since I tend to overeat during stressful times!).. Sounds like you might be back on the right track! Don't give up on YOURSELF, even if you decide to give up on the band! Good luck and God Bless!
  18. Wow! you have done great in such a short period of time! Keep up the good work!

Does Banding Work if you're over 50?

I will be 52 in February... I have tried EVERYTHING... Weight Watchers, Xenedrine, Hoodia, FatBlocker, phentermine, B12, Gym, Atkins............ I would lose 30-40 pounds only to put that back on and then some! For 20 years, I have fought this battle! I KNOW I am on the right track now! I have lost 48 pounds so far and getting stronger and more determined every day! I think a lot of it depends on the person, the amount of determination you have, your support system, amoung other factors........ but the band is a TOOL that can help us meet our goals and realize the person we could/want to be! Good Luck!
  21. Wow! 61 pounds already! You are going great! Keep up the good work!
