Hi everyone - just wanted to see if this was common or not. My two week pre-op diet is not liquids. It’s a diet focused on low calories and high protein, but I get to eat actual food until Day 14. Is this common? I see so many people on here struggling with a liquid diet pre-op and I’m kinda confused why some have it and others don’t. Thanks for any insight!

I’m newly sleeved (10/26) and just wondering if feeling nauseated is normal. I am not vomiting but do have a lot of gurgling going around in my stomach and a real sense of nausea. Still in fluid stage and trying to get protein down. Some days better than others. Could it be dehydration? Also, I’m still in some pain/discomfort on the right side incision where they pulled my stomach out. Is this normal? I find it difficult to bend over or twist at all. I thought it would be better 9 days out.

VSG scheduled for 10/26! Outpatient.

I am having my VSG on 10/26 and it is outpatient. On one hand, I’m happy to get home and another, I’d feel better having at least one night for observation — but my surgeon doesn’t do that.
