Sorry, typo! You are gorgeous! It isn’t you that is making him act like this. It probably his own weight issues. Get some counseling and open the communication lines.

Sex drive low? I discovered the answer. I am. 65 year-old female. The answer: saw palmetto! I started taking it for skin snd hair but oh boy did I discover another plus!!!!!!! I took it for 3 months & then i had “the warmies” all the time!!! I take the herb, not the extract. Figured it’s safer. Try it!!!

Waiting on a date and social media thoughts

I’m nearly finished with the requirements for WLS. I weighed 283 when I started going to the clinic in July. I went down to 266 then crept back up to 270. In March when pandemic began I looked up an old acquaintance. I hadn’t seen him in 25 years; kind of an intuition got me to call him. We talked frequently and more and more. Long story short, it’s now November and we both feel deeply for each other. I’m older and I never thought I would feel this way again; I haven’t been married for 20 years. It’s crazy how close we have become! But we haven’t seen one another in person. We live 3 hours apart. I told him I am having wls & was not completely honest about how much I wanted to lose. I said 60 pounds but it’s really 90. I’ve been honest that I am obese & I would not feel comfortable being intimate. He seems to understand. But it’s caused me to feel a little pressure & yesterday I said I can’t get there until end of March. I figured I can lose 1 1/2 lbs/week between now & surgery appx end of December. That’s 20... if i lost 25 in January and 15 then 12 Feb & March... that’s 72 pounds so I could be at 200 by end of March. Do you think this schedule of wloss sounds reasonable? -
I just took an exhausting and horrid psychological test! Has anyone else had to do that??

Hi! This is my first post here. I am 65 and 275 pounds. I have finally made the decision to change my lifestyle after being morbidly obese for 10 years. I have chronic pain from spondylitis and nerve damage. I know the weight is a big part of the pain I am living with. I have gained 20 pounds since the pandemic started because I am alone at home, generally on the couch. I look forward to being able to walk without a limp when I get lighter. I am a little nervous about doing this but I want to live a longer and fuller life.

I’m feeling better today about it but do remember some questions I probably should not have answered the way I did, such as are there grey parts in law? Being a retired tax accountant I answered yes. Some of the questions that contained the word always I answered false even though I do that sometimes. -
Thank you all for responding!

Getting cold feet- VSG Pre-Op
danahall5885 replied to LandoLivie's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I backed out 3 times. Then realized I am not getting younger or slimmer. I can’t tell you to do it if you are that frightened, but it might get worse if you don’t. Check out the complication rate on your doctor and the hospital, and compare to Nation average; that will tell you more. -
Anyone else out there who has had surgery at a higher age?
