I've been on a strict, 2 week pre-op diet of 900 calories a day or less. I've been finding it surprisingly easy... 2 protein shakes and 2 protein bars per day, along with a fibre supplement drink and multi-vitamin. I'm losing weight well, but more importantly, I'm confident that I'm shrinking my liver.
I'm flying internationally for my surgery. It'll be the first time (and probably the last time in a long time) for me to fly Business. It seems like such a huge shame to not enjoy some of the fantastic business class hospitality. Do you think that a single 'off-plan' meal is enough to undo 2 weeks of hardcore liver shrinking? I'm not talking pizza or a huge bowl of pasta here, just a taste of something 'sensible' and maybe 1 glass of champagne.
