DO ANYONE KNOW HOW I NEED TO GO ABOUT GETTING STARTED/APPROVED FOR THE GBS. I HAVE BEEN SO MOTIVATED BY READING THIS PAGE. IT HAS BEEN A BIG HELP. THANKS. I AM A NAVY WIFE. MY BMI IS 43. WE ARE STATIONED IN KEY WEST,FL. I WAS WONDERING IF ANYBODY HAS ANY SUGGESTIONS TO HOW I CAN MAYBE ASK MY DOCTOR TO REFER ME FOR THE SURGERY. I AM 5'8'' 283LBS. ANY INFORMATION WILL BE HELPFUL. Ok! I'm new to all of this. I have just read an article about lap-band and I think that will be better for me. So 2 morrow I will ask for the lap-band. It seems to have less complications than GB. I am tricare prime and from my understanding tricare will approve you quicker for GBS than the lap-band. But by doing my research I'm going to ask for the lap-band. Please cross your fingers for me. My appt. is tomorrow at 11:10 A.M.
