Hi everyone! My name is Heidi & I am 32 years old. I was banded sept 25, 2008. I have lost 50 lbs so far. Just started loosing again these last few months. Started eating right & walk/jogging on my new tredmill. Having port pain issues from jogging. This really ticks me off~! wwaiting to feel better so I can get jogging again!

well, I'm having a pitty party for myself. The stomach flu is going around my house. So, far 2 out of 5 of us have had it. Seems to be only a 24 hr thing. My port pain seems worse again & my back is bugging me now! LIKE I said POOR ME lol! Soooooo, I'm eating junk to make me feel better/ Peanut M&M's, Peanut butter n fluff crackers, chocolates yesterday, & if I could get my hands on some CHIPs I sooooooo WOULD! AAARRRRRHGGG!!!

Your 1 of the lucky ones! That just prooves everyone is different! :thumbup:

Another big thing is WHEN you get on Solids , don't eat too soon after & make sure you eat some sort of meat protein. This helps me stay full longer. I rty to wait 40 min atleast befor eI drink :-)

my advise to you both wpuld be ....just keep telling your doc & don't take NO for an answer if you feel something is wrong. Good luck.

Yes, thats where my port is too lol! I think my fat jumping all around casued some of the port pain. Ty!

Hi! Do you wear it only when you exercise? What kind of exercise do you do? I think it was the jogging that bothered my port. It is a bit more sore again today. I tried to do some picking up yesterday around the house. It's frustratingwhen you can't bend down. I have 3 little girls to pick up after & my house is falling apart! Not to mention now the stomach flu is starting in the house. Thats all i need is to get that! :thumbup:

4 days out from sugery? Be happy your full! lol! You;ll be starving before you know it! I was hungry from the get go. I am over 1 yr out & I say it's probably 3hrs after I eat I get hungry. Sometimes more some less, HTH

Don't be ashamed! Of course this happends to a lot of people! Like you said you just have to get back in the game. you had your "fun" NOW STOP! :-) I've been there myself. Lost 40 lbs then just stopped losing for about 8 months. It was my own fault. I ate all the easy bad food, chocolate chips ect. I thought I had no more fight left in me but then something just clicked again. I'm now back in the game & losing! :-) Helps me to weigh & measure food & count cals. I use a site called Daily plate. You enter in your food & it counts cals. If you need help contact me. GOOD LUCK hun!

I just started run/walking on my new tredmill. Last night while running my port area felt strange, almost like I irratated sp) it or something. Today while doing dishes I leaded into the sink & felt a little discomfort/cramping in port area. I called doc & left a message. Anyone ever have this??? TY! I have been banded for OVER 1 yr.

Tiny~ No, there is nothing wrong w/ my band. Just the port. So, why did you have to get restitched? How did they know you needed it? What were your symtoms? My pain is a lot better just a little sore now. Hope it continues to get better & doesn't act up again w/ exercise. Good news~I was down 5 lbs from last visit in Jan. :-)

Well, apparently a scan does not even show if you pulled out a stitch. :frown: I guess she did the scan to make sure everything was still working right. Did GI ect. Scan was good. BUT she thinks I may have pulled a stitch. So, she is hoping it will just heal on its own. :frown: If it keeps bothering me she will go in & move my port down. Plus when I start exercising again I will wear a binder around my belly for more support. Just ordered one for $15.00 This is where I am at for now. :frown: __________________

well my doc sent me in for a CT scan yesterday. She thinks a stitch may have come undone. Waiting on results now. I'll keep ya posted. Thanks for info! :laugh:

Hi . I'm thinking this may have happend to me {flipped port}. What were your symtoms? I'm having pain like the sensation when I first had sugery done. Hurts to bend, laydown, sit up ect. My surgen thinks I may have pulled out a stitch. She sent me in for a CT sacn yesterday. Waiting to here. If that the case, I'm not sure if I will keep my band. :-( I have lost more then 1/2 the weight I wanted to lose & don't want to have more problems. I don't like the idea of having the band in me for life anyway. Not sure??????
