Here's one I've enjoyed for awhile now. Lasagna-low carb -1 eggpant or zucchini -spaghetti sauce {whatever kind} **only use a small amount or it will be way to watery.** -ricotta cheese -{whole small container} -hamburg or sausage- whatever meat you choose {I make meatless a lot} -cheddar cheese -pepperoni on top {optional} you can add mushrooms, onion, spinach :thumbs_up: -
I make this w/ eggplant too. :frown: Mines a low carb version/ I usually make a small one. Sorry I don't have the exact measurments. I usually just wing it. You get the idea. Layer w/ eggplant or zucchini on bottom & do rest how ever you choose to. "I also do the same with the chicken and instead of salsa, I add a tiny amount of water and Franks Red hot sauce. I then measure out my TBS of Blue Cheese Dressing and add more Franks Red Hot Sauce and have my version of hot wings. " I tried a version of this one today. YUMMMMOO! I bought some already cooked roasted whole chicken legs. I thought the dark meat would be more tender. (or you can get the whole chicken) Cut it up into small pieces put on the hot sauce {to taste}, few chunks blue cheese, & 1 tbl sp. blue cheese dressing. :thumbs_up: THANKS!!!! -

Hi everyone! My name is Heidi & I was banded 9-25-08. I've lost 21lbs so far & had my 1st fill last tuesday. I haven't lost too much in the past few weeks. I would like to start doing low carb too. Thought I'd hangout here for some tips. I've lost on low carb in the past. Do you all start w/ no carbs, 20 carbs, & then go up a bit??? what works for you?? Have any of you done the curves low carb diet? I like that one because it's not as strict as others. Thanks everyone!

Well, I can say I've fallen off too. I was banded 9-25-08. I had my 1st fill Tuesday. I don't feel much different :-(. I agree that we wouldn't all be here if we didn't have problems w/ self control when it comes to food. That's how we all got overweight in the 1st place. I feel your pain. I wanna bash my head through the wall today because I just want to eat! :rolleyes2: Not because I'm hungry, just because I'm bored, sad, lonely whatever. THIS SUCKS! We all have to try our best & look to each other for help. :thumbup:

Here's the deal- I had first fill today since surgery. They had to unfill a bit after the fisrt try today because water went down hard. I have to start stage 1 again then mushies ect.. I can feel the restiriction but I don't feel "FULL"?????? What's up w/ that!?!? Anyone????? Thanks!

when you all say restriction.....do you mean it feels hard going down.....tight???? That's what I mean my restriction. :-)

I don't mind NOT eating till full. I just am hungry a lot still. I meet w/ my nutritionist next tuesday. I guess she'll be a good person to talk to about this. Thanks everyone!

Hey everyone! I just had my first fill after surgery yesterday. I feel the restriction but I'm still very hungry w/ the shakes. I don't get it. I thoght w/ restriction comes fullness????? I would like to go to a meeting but it's an 1-1/2 for me. So, I don't know. Well, I hit my 20lbs loss mark! I had been at -19 for a few weeks. Glad I got my fill. Keep it up everyone!

Don't be nervous. I got mine today & it was so painless for me! They even had some fool trainee fishing around trying to find my port & I was still ok. I had to get an UNfill to because the water went down hard for me. You'll do Great Teri! Good luck!!! :biggrin:

Thanks everyone for the advise & tips. I am still a bit confused but I guess I'll give it time. I just had a shake & I am still HUNGRY for sure. :cool2: Do the shakes ever fill you up though. :biggrin: I will always have the head hunger too I''m afraid. Thanks! I totally agree. I had first fill today since surgery. I too was falling back into bad habits. I'm hoping to get back in line. Good luck!!!

OH good! Thanks for this update Niecey! I can't wait to get my 1st & 2nd fills. I have been eating way to many crackers & carbs. Last night I had buttered POPCORN {slap on the rist}! I know I was "BAD" but I'm back on track today. It's been hard for w. the Halloween candy being around too. I'm trying to do more low carb thing now. I only have a few lbs to get under 200 lbs!!! See, this is why I had this surgery done. I NEED the restiction on what & how much I can eat. Everyone says "Whay can't you just do it on your own"? This is why. Thanks all!!! Keep it up! We're on our way!!! :cursing:
