My son graduated from Air Force boot camp in San Antonio on July 14. It was a wonderful experience...... Enjoy.......... http://www.onetruemedia.com/shared?p=d71b13327d079def2a90f&skin_id=0&utm_sourc e=otm&utm_medium=text_url

Thanks all..... Leatha.... You hit the nail on the head. A mother and her son. The military has taken my him from a lost man of 22 with no self esteem and turned him into a man who takes pride in what he is doing and how he looks. When I hugged him he seemed taller.... It is because for the first time in years he is standing up straight
-
His instructor was a woman! That is kind of why we figured he would do ok. He hated when men got in his face, but he was used to his MOTHER doing it LOL
-
Darcy.... Everytime DH and I go through tough places in our marriage... We end up in better ... closer place. I will pray that the same happens for you... kisses,
-
Myra... Drill Instructor in Biloxi or San Antonio?
-
Thanks everyone! I was a Navy wife in my "previous" life and it didn't work out to well for me so this is not what I wanted for my son. I kept throwing this kid out of the nest and he would not FLY!!!!!! Lol This was his decision and I figured if he made it through the first week without punching out his drill instrutor, he would make it through the rest! I am very proud of him, and the good thing is he is proud of himself! He is on to his first tech school in Biloxi......

Hi Ya'll.... I feel like I'm still in Texas! The long weekend with DS was beyond my wildest dreams. He looked so good! When he spoke to you he looked you in the eye... the smile was real. It was like seeing the son I knew a long time ago. It was a long couple of days. They plan everything or early morning so it was up and out at 7 am. His girlfriend and her mother flew in from Connecticut and stayed at the same Inn as us. DH is already at his next duty station in Biloxi, Mississippi for Tech training. He will be there for about 6 weeks and then on to Ft. Gordon in Georgia. Who knows after that.... Now that DH and I are home, we move onto the the house problem in CT. Also, I am having a surprise 60th birthday party for DH in August.... Anne: Glad your DD had a good time at camp, and that greeting was memorable... Glad you are doing better after surgery. You deserve a break after all you have been through! Eileen: How are you girly girl? Hot are you!!!! You guys can't win up north... cold, wet and now hot! Did the boss give you the day off on Friday for your Neices surgery? Cindy and Sherry: Hope your vacation is all you want it to be. Can't wait to hear about it. Mary: Congrat's on two year bandiversary. That is a wonderful accomplishement. Betty: Well, I really enjoyed my time in your large state of Texas! People were very friendly and we really liked river walk. That was very cool. Darcey: Thanks on the compliments ... the boy is very cute! I kept saying that and people on the base were... Hansome, not cute! LOL Bettina: Welcome to our little support group within a support group! Irene: Congrat's on the weight loss. You have worked hard and it is paying off. How is work? DH? Patty: Did you go to away yet? I can't remember when you were leaving with the kids.... Pat: What cha up to girl? Well, that is about it... having new living room furniture delivered so I have to clean up and get ready. Oh, I forgot .. Please pray for my stepdaughters husbands family. They live in Beruit and after getting bombed, they have temp relocated north. They seem to be safe for now... Kisses,

Hi everyone. Our laptop works at the Inn here in san antonio. We arrived in Austin at 1 pm and rented a car. We got to the Inn and didn't even unpack .. just put our suits on and jumped in the pool. Went to the airport and picked up my son's girlfriend and her mom who arrived from Connecticut. We just got back from dinner... ate to much, but we are having a great time. EILEEN; Honey I am so sorry about your neice. What is her name so I can add her to the prayer list at church. She has a higher power to watch over her so try to stay calm... That boss of yours better not think my friend eileen is shit or I will kick his a**!!!!!!!! Do what you got to do for your family.... Anne: good to see you here! We understand, but know you have been missed. Everyone else... thanks for the well wishes .. Can't wait to see the boy on the "run". We go to the base and they have the graduation run. We can't talk to him, but I can see him. I believe we can go back to the base tomorrow night and have dinner with him. Graduation is on Friday. kisses,

Morning all. TOM made a huge entrance yesterday morning! Went to work yesterday, got my pedicure and manicure on the way home and then took a nap. Got up and dyed my hair because I have a hair appointment today. I have had my hair professionally dyed on and off for years. With the chlorine and me being in the sun all the time, it is a waste. At home I can do it as often as I want and the hair dresser loves my color. Tonight I am packing. john and I leave early tomorow for San antonio for DS graduation from Boot Camp. We will be there until late on Sunday and back to work on Monday. DH hasn't spent one weekend in his bed in the last month! LOL Talk to you later ... I'll take a break while packing. kisses,

Hey Heather... Welcome !!!!! Today the ocean looks awfully rough so I will be biking and swimming in the pool. TOM has made an unexpected early visit this month so I am dragging:embarassed: Better today then the day that DH came home from his trip!!!!

It is the end to another one of God's Days... Let us rejoice!

Happy Birthday Darcy!!! Hope you had a great day..... I am doing better now that DH is home. He was emotionally exhausted from his trip to Connnecticut. Where they burried his Aunt is right next to Johns first wife Annie. It was hard on him. They were married for 21 years and he lost her at 42 to cancer. Then with the stuff with the house... Poor guy! We have a plan of action at the moment so all we can do is turn it over until the end of the month and try to do the next right thing presented in front of us. We have so much to be grateful for ... I refuse to focus on the negative......:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: Thanks for all your support.... Love you ... Kisses,
-
That is wonderful.... I am glad it is going to work out for you! :purplebananna::purplebananna::peep::purplebananna::fish::purplebananna::jaw::purplebananna:

aaahhhhhh...... Just spoke with DH. He went over to our house to meet the woman who has been renting and was suppose to buy. John hadn't heard back from her and she knew he was in town. He let himself into the house and it is TRASHED. He was in tears. We worked so hard on it before we moved to sell it and now it is ... I don't even know. She 1/2 tore down my wall paper in the kitchen and living room. He said all the rugs are ruined. There is 'stuff' everywhere... unemptied kitty litter, the pool is green, bathrooms are gross. we only have 2.000 of her money for deposit and Johns said it would take 5,000 before we can even show it.... We have her relatives number as a reference so John called and spoke with her sister. She "lost" it her sister said. John said he was sorry, but she needed to get her sister out of our house. She said she would have her and her kids moved out by the end of August. I feel crushed about my house... I feel terrible for this womans kids.... DH is flying in tomorrow and we leave for San Antonio on Wed. Hopefully we will have a plan in place before we leave...... Thanks for listening...:cry

Sorry I have been absent. Just haven't been in the mood to post... no good reason. It is an overcast morning here in Florida. The ocean looks like a lake. I went down for a swim and ended up doing 2 1/2 miles! Usually the waves and current make it a good swim, but you don't go far. What a glorious way to start my day!

I FORGOT.... Just came back in from a swim in the ocean. The ocean is like a lake this morning! I swam 2 1/2 miles! I couldn't believe it... usually there are waves so it is hard. What a glorious way to start my day! Kisses,

I want to come! One of these days on a weekend I'm going to drive up there ok? I love near Ft. Lauderdale Florida... How long a drive is that? If you guys are ever in my area... let me know. Have fun:p -
Long time ... no post! LOL I have been super busy and haven't really spent much time on the computer. Ran through personals real quick.... Patty girl I am so sorry! I truly believe for me everything happens in gods' time not mine. Your time will come or to be honest it won't. I know it is hard, but where there is a will there is a way. FIGHT THEM! When they turned me down I had to do it then... it was my time ... that is why I went self pay. I could have fought... but for me it was the right decision. What ever you decide to do, I support you and am here to listen to you.... (((((HUGS)))))) Betty.... wow your foot problem sounds bad. I agree with others that seek another opinion. I feel bad that you have been having such a hard time lately with everything going on. How is Dick? Cindy... I red the post about your daughter. I had boys! I did talk to them about it, but it was from a different angle if you get my drift! I remember mine like it was yesterday...... we went to a mom/daughter thing in the library at school. When we got home, my mom asked me if I had any question.... I didn't because we didn't talk like that usually. When the day came.... I got to stay home from school and we spent the day together. We lived in CT and took the train into NYC and shopped. She bought me this wonderful P coat... I still remember it. It was a great day and I felt special! Eileen////// POCKETBOOKS!!!!!!!! I go crazy for POCKETBOOKS. I get most of mine at consigment shops and then hide them in the closet. ... LOL HOw was the fireworks? Cindy: I hope you made it through the anniversary day ok. (((HUGS)))) I can totally relate. It will be 20 years my mom has been gone in January and I still get feelings. They change year to year, but I still have them. Go with them.... I have learned more about myself through the feelings I have had about my Mom. Motherless daughters.... It is a oxymoron! YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Darcy: o.m.g. I went on a canoe trip one time and it sucked! It was a long time ago... I don't know if I feel the same way, but I'm not going to find out. Getting back in that canoe kills ya! LOL Anne: How are you? I miss you : - ) Diane: I am always up for a "jersey get together". ANytime ... anywhere. You never know when I might be up that way. Thanks for the offer and I think this "jersey" thread rocks! I don't know what I would have done in the beginning without all the hugs and support. It is nasty out there on the main LBT sometimes. This is a safe place to share and get good advise. You are part of all of us now and I appreciate you:clap2: Bene: WAY TO GO! I give you a lot of credit for not dipping into DH sundae! No scale changes for me either, but I don't deserve for it to go down.... I need to do the work. It ain't easy is it? Kat: Oh my ... the job he has always wanted NOW> WTF! Timing in life is everything. He simply isn't meant to go there right now. Boy ... is he bumbed out? Give him a hug from me! Pat :kiss2: So, We DH in Ct for the weekend I am so enjoying my alone time. I love him with all my heart, but enjoy my time with "me". We leave for San Antonio on Wed for DS graduation from bootcamp. 61/2 weeks has gone so fast. DH got my Dad's good digital so I can get pictures... I am excited. We booked a suite in an Inn down on Rivewalk with a pool. He will only get offbase liberty once in the five days we will be there so we are going to be torists for the rest of the time. Ok... off to buy paint for the THIRD time for the bathroom. I have painted it twice and still don't like it. That is because I dont' like the tile or counter top so I am trying to match it and not having good luck. We will eventually redo it, but for now paint is the bandaid. LOVE YOU GUYS..... kisses,

I am confused.......... Why when I had 2cc put in my band the first fill, could they only pull out .5 on my second fill 3 months later? She put in another .5 on my second fill and if I figure that correctly, I now have 1cc rather then 2.5cc. I am very hungry and can eat a lot. Any light you can shed on this would be greatly appreciated......
