    Hesitantly asking for good thoughts...

I don't think you need luck.... If you want them, they would be fools not to want you. Besides... we make our luck by our attitudes and you have a great one... I hope this is all that you want it to be : - )

Top of the morning.... At work, so I can't stay long. Even though... I have a great boss! >>>> sticking tongue out at Eileen....... DH hurt his back so I wasn't going to go on my bike ride yesterday because he wasn't going.....when I thought about it.... why am going to stay home? How about because I really didn't want to go! NOOOO .. it was the food demons telling me it was ok not to excersise!!!!! So, I went. It was nice. I rode up to the town next to us along the ocean. It was a beautiful night and it was dusk.... I did about 4 miles and then jumped in the pool!!! I always fight it, but when I do it I feel so much better afterwards. I'll do personals later.

    Do you tan?

I love the look of a nice tan. Not dark, but I do LOVE it. Having said that, it is soooo bad for you. I live on the beach in Florida so I am out in the sun all the time. I put a TON of sun block on and still get tan. I have used tanning beds in the past. From a every day thing to once a week. They say they are worse then the real thing. Ann is correct... everything that we like is bad for us! I do use the self tan stuff also. You probably ask why I do that .... to get an even tan of course! I always have my shades on in the sun and look like a racoon! And, my legs never seem to tan nicely. If you use it correctly, it works great.

Would I get the Band again?

Penni, I so wish I had the words to help you as you helped me when I was struggling. You are one of the ones who was kind, compassionate, but also kicked my butt when I couldn't get my eating under control in the beginning. I so wish you weren't in the pain you are in, but the fact is ... you are. We aren't here because we can eat safely! We have ALL gone through those fast food drivethroughs, ordered and ate what you are eating! I was an over eater and a grazier.... I can so relate to those feelings... eating when you aren't even hungry! Hey, I still fight that demon today with the band. As I said, I am so sorry you are going through this! I can't say what I would do in your position and I pray that I never have to make the decision. One thing I do know.....I would get some type of WLS surgery. Maybe the band, maybe DS ..... maybe the GBP. I don't know, but scarey or not I would do something because left to my own devices, I will eat until I am sick! I love you my friend and if I can be of any help to you... please know that I am here for you.... Kisses,

    Whose getting a bike???

You can join a gym, ride your bike, swimming, running, walking.... it all works if you do it! I started with something free first.... walking. After I made a commitment to walk everyday and followed through, I spent the money and joined a gym. Now 4 months banded I go to the gym 4 times a week and in between I do laps in the pool or ride my bike ouside for about 3 or 4 miles..... I love excersise now......

    What do you drive?

The Pimp Mobile!!!!!That is what I call her.... LOL 1994 Buick Lasabre. I used to be the new car every two or three years girl. Hubby and I gave up or 24/7 corporate america jobs and moved to the beach in Florida. This car is like driving a boat! It was the "teenagers" car when we lived in Connecticut. She only has 78,000 miles on her, tons of dents and scratches... TOP 10 REASONS TO OWN A PIMPMOBILE: 1. you can park her anywhere with no worries 2. you don't have to worry about someone parked next to you denting the door 3. no one would even THINK about stealing her 4. the paint job is already scratched from the teenagers 5. I never have to lock the doors 6. low insurance rates 7. no car payments 8. cart the grandkids around and not worry about the upolstry 9. very reliable AND THE NUMBER ONE REASON TO KEEP DRIVING THE PIMPMOBILE.......... 10. I LOVE HER :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things an old one did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast and you'll eventually lose someone you love. So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back. Don't be afraid that your life will end, be afraid that it will never begin. ~anonymous~

    May's Chat

Good Evening! Wanted to thank all the congratulations on the 50 lbs. I hope I didn't steer you wrong.....I was struggling with food for awhile, but I have been losing steadly since getting banded. I exersize almost every day and drink almost a Liter of water. When I was struggling it was for not eating the correct foods and what I was eating was to fast and not chewing enough. I have serious restriction and have since getting banded. I can not eat bread, very little pasta, no pizza, no rice, most meats are tough and I can only eat very small amounts. Soooo, the struggle continues, but hopefully the banster rules will someday win over the demons!!!!! Took all the clothes back from my shopping binge. I couldn't justify wearing a shirt for $78 that won't fit in a couple of months. Found two shirts on the clearance rack and felt much better about it. : - ) Went to the gym this morning, DH and I went to the beach for 3 hours.... Then he took me out for dinner. I ate two crusts off bread dipped in olive oil, few bites of salad, 10 bites of my dinner and wrapped the rest to bring home! BETTY: yahoo on the prize! That is sooo awesome! Boy you must really have polished that bike! You need to post a picture! You and the bike.... Eileen: Do you have restriction? I can't even eat a whole bowl of cereal. I hope this fill does it for you. The water makes a huge difference. I drink like 70 - 80 oz of water a day. Don't worry about the party.. knowing you... it will be great! I am sure you have thought of everything. Kat: Love the new picture. It is so nice to see what people look like. Sherry: Just remember you son has a higher power and you aren't it! Having had two boys I can so relate to the worries. Shit will happen, but hopefully all the words of wisdom you have been speaking to him about for the last 16 years has sunk in! Becky: OMG I am still laughing about the bike and knitting! Cindy: Hopefully your pains will fly away with the kite! I have never been good at it, but I see people do it. They make it look so easy! When does school end? Mary: Glad you got a lawyer. I loved mine. She made me fight for the some things and made me realize that I had to surrender others. I was determined to walk out of court free. Free of him and all the anger that went with it. I refused to be another angry divourced woman and I wasn't. It was so much healthier for me and for the kids. I figured they would grow and decide for themsleves what an ass he was! LOL Bene: Congrats on the weight loss. I agree about the water... magic shit isn't it! Wonder who invented it> LOL Ok, I am heading to bed. Have to go to airport in the am to pick up DSD and the grandkids coming home from Connecticut. Then to the beach.... Kisses,
