Interesting! I never chewed gum before getting banded and now I chew SF gum all the time.d I find it helps with hunger and you can chew and chew without really eating!

Thanks Jack! I won't give up or give in. I didn't want to test it, but I owed my granddaughter a lunch and she chose checkers today. I chose not to have a fry because if I had one... I would want them all. No ice cream for me. One scoop isn't enough...... I will always want more. Thanks again Jack!

Saymyname.... You are right, it isn't the end of the world and just for today I have not had ice cream. What really amazed me was even after being so good for over 6 months, how fast I got back in an old BAD habbit. It hit and at first I didn't recognize it. Then I got that old feeling in my stomach that when I was sneaking ice cream that it was just like it was before the band. Cunning ... bafflng and powerful!

I have not had any ice cream! I am going down to the pool with granddaughter. I will probably ride my bike and go for a moon lit walk with DH:eek:

Donna... I also had that discussion with Dr. Rodriquez! I knew going in that my addiction to ice cream would be an issue! The result is I can't have it! If I start I can't stop! Bean: I want to thank you for being a constant support for me! I am unfortunately well aware of the downfalls of addiction. I can become addicted to anything and everything that alters the way I feel about myself... alcohol, relationships, drugs, cigaretts, ice cream and potato chips! I work on this addiction on a daily basis through diffent avenues, but sharing where I am at helps to get it out in the open so I can move one. Makes me accountable! Day two... no ice cream! Water Aerobics tonight ! I feel so much better! Thanks guys!!!

I don't think I wore a bra for weeks! I work the full length hold em in type excersise thing. It held the boobs in one place and also held the incisions so when when I got up and down they also stayed in one place....

Another day ice cream free! I also went to the gym : - ) I can say that I had to keep talking myself out of the ice cream, but it worked!

One full day without ice cream! :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: I told DH last night and he said he was disapointed in me, but understands that this is a food addition. I feel so much better getting one day under my belt and sharing with you guys and DH my secrets!!!! ODAAT (one day at a time)

Betty ... I AM SO SORRY! Darn! I so wish I could do something to make you feel better! I would even give you the win if it were in my power! It really proves to us what is important in life... and it ain't our jobs! DH and I will add you and your family to our prayer line... Kisses and hugs.....

Thank you all for the support. I actually went the whole day today without ice cream! I had to break the cycle of eating it everyday again. Carol.... I was where you are at one time. 2 or 3 weeks out and saying I went through a lot to have the surgery and I will stick with it no matter what! I hope you don't have to "eat" your words somewhere down the road. LOL I am addicted to food. I know in my head I can't have it... I know it in my heart I can't have it! One taste and I'm off and running. Today is a new day... thank gooness!

I didn't excersise to day, but the good news is it is the first day without Ice Cream!

A mother was at the air force graduation last weekend for her son and saw my son Sheehan! She took these pictures and sent them to me.... How awesome is that! Here for the firsst time is Airman Sheehan O'Connor!
