Happy July 5! The 4th started out with a sad note. Johns Aunt died back in Connecticut. She was in her 90's and just went to sleep.... best way to go! John is the oldest of his family and his mother and the rest live in Indiana so he is going to represent that side of the family. I was able to get him a flight with my frequent flyer miles for tomorrow... we still have a house there that he needs to take care of some "stuff" so it worked out. He was down so we went and spent some quiet time on the beach together. It was very nice. I swam in the ocean for 1/2 hour against current and then 1/2 hour back. Man I was very tired and today my arms ACHE!!!! We came up showered and went to the association picnic.... it was great except my experiment with my first hot dog.... it was good going down.. not coming up!!!!! Went out our door onto to the beach and the towns to the north and south were doing fireworks.... and we can't forget everyone else setting them off in between. I was on sensory overload and didn't know where to look!!!! My son called from bootcamp and we told him how proud we were that he was representing our country!!!:clap2: :clap2: That is it for now..... kisses,

Happy Fourth! I swam 1/2 against current in the ocean, 1/2 back with current! It was a beautiful day on the ocean! Going back out to watch the fire works...

Good Evening all.... Ok.. Our weekend was just wonderful. We left our home about 2pm Friday and headed South. I kept trying to figure it out, but when we got off the highway in Miami... I knew. He booked a rooom in South Beach about a block from the Versace mansion. It was great. A hotel that had been in operation since 1939, but had been redone in real art deco in 1999. Even thought I was only an hour from home, I felt like I was a million miles away. Including the nude sunbathers! LOL I will catch up on personals another day... I'm exhausted. I am only as sick as my secrets!!!!! I bought two pints of ice cream yesterday. Ate one before DH came home from work and ate the other when he left to go to a class. Took the containers and put in my work bag to get rid of the evidence! UGH!!!! I am self sabotaging myself! AGAIN! Hopefully by telling on myself, I can move on ....... :o :o

Hey all..... At work so only have a minute. DH is packing today for our "trip". I hope he remembers everything I need! But, then again, WHO CARES.......... LOL Still don't know where we are going and it is driving me and everyone esle crazy. LOL We leave at 12 noon tomorrow and he said we don't get back until Sunday night. We watched glory road tonight. It is a disney movie about blacks playing basketball in 1965 for a Texas University. Controversial, but really good.

My son is in Boot Camp in San Antonio Texas. A woman went there last weekend for her sons graduation and took this picture of my son! He told her my phone number and she called me and later sent the picture email. I can't tell you how thrilled I was to get the picture and how proud I am of him. His name is Airman Sheehan Patrick O'Connor

I kind of ran away from boot camp for two weeks. Hey Everyone... Good Evening! Five days of no ice cream.... :clap2: :clap2: Walked 6 miles Friday night and swam. Saturday Water Aerobics Sunday: Did that kick a** weight class at the gym and rode bike in gym for 4 miles Monday: Playing Golf. Not that I know how, but some ladies invited me to be part of their foursome... I'll let you know hows it goes Thats all folks! Thanks for keeping me motivated.... you guys rock!!!! Happy Sunday.... DH and I went to dinner today for our 13th wedding anniversary because he has to work tomorrow. I was divorced for 8 years, happy and content to spend the rest of my life ... just me and the boys. God had other plans and put John in my life and I didn't know what to do with such a spiritual, kind, compassionate, loving, caring, understanding man. He raised by boys like they were his own. I have to tell you that I love this man more than I can ever tell you. He is my 2nd husband, but in reality ....he is the only one I ever had if you know what I mean. He surprised me with a slide for my omega and he told me we are leaving on Friday for "something" but won't tell me! I am excited!!!! Here is a pictures of my necklace with the slide on it....

DH said he thought it was a comedy so during the sad parts he was confused. Unusual Suspects: GREAT MOVIE RENTAL: In Her Shoes: Funny and sad. Chick flick about sisters Flight 93: DH and I cried so much we had headaches! Good movie I walk the line: GREAT MOVIE and I am not a johnny cash fan

First let me tell you how proud I am of your accomplishments. You have done great and I would love to see pics!:confused: As stated above, families are funny! ...NOT... Mine hadn't seen me since surgery and I lost 50 lbs and attended a family party. My dad and his girlfriend said NOTHING. They later told everyone they could tell how great I looked.... GO FIGURE. You can pick your friends (which I have and they are healthy, happy, positive people who only want the best for me) but you can't pick your family! I now accept them for who they are.... took me years to come to terms with it, but I can't change them. I get emotional support from others. It is what it is!

Hey you guys in the north east.... keep your rain up there! It has rained on and off all day. That is ok. I don't mind it because we really need it. We have endanged sea turtles that come up and lay their eggs. We mark the site with a huge white steak in the sand with numbers on them saying when the eggs where layed. Also there is a yellow flag on it. So, I was sitting out on the balcony reading. These 3 kids were playing on the beach with their parents. The were ripping the steaks out and digging. My husband was yelling and I ran down there. The father was like "SO"? "And". I was sooo mad. Some of the parents have not control over there kids and don't teach them to respect anything. here is a picture I took of a turtle that was kind enough to come ashore and lay her eggs at 8 pm. Usually it is the middle of the night. Isn't she cute :biggrin1:
