New Me, New Mind

Hey hey!! I was qualified for VSG surgery for 6.22.20, but tested positive for Covid19 two days before surgery. I was kind of bratty (to myself) and took myself off the liquid diet and ate everything in sight for a bit, gaining back the weight I had lost. Luckily, I didn't have to wait too long before I was rescheduled for surgery though. I actually had VSG on 7.27.20 with Dr. Stephen Boyce in Knoxville, TN. I stayed at the hospital for one night with my husband and had an easy recovery so far with no complications. I did not suffer from gas or very much pain at all post-op. I was self-pay because our insurance through my husband's work does not cover Bariatric surgeries. I wanted RNY but was a smoker at the time and my surgeon does not perform RNY on smokers or former smokers due to complication risks. RNY was $22, 000 so I saved out of pocket costs by choosing sleeve for $16,750.00. I look forward to connecting with you all and learning some new tricks to succeed as I read through the posts!
