  1. Happy 39th Birthday cyndi2774!

  2. Happy 38th Birthday cyndi2774!

  3. 3 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 3rd Anniversary cyndi2774!

  4. Oh my gosh, that's awesome! It must feel so great to already be seeing a difference. I am SO excited for you! And a teensy bit jealous! Are you taking pictures and keeping up with your measurements?
  5. Wow, I am just so happy for you. :cool2: I can't wait till I am in your position -- knowing that the surgery is over and things are just going to keep getting better and better. Are you on a liquid diet right now?
  6. I am SO happy to hear you are through surgery! Sorry you had a tough time, but it's really encouraging to hear that you are already feeling so much better. (Especially for those of us who are pre-op!) I hope you'll keep us updated on your progress.

Just read and replied to MY FORUM--the STRUGGLERS!!

I agree with dacreid. I think you should seek a second opinion and ask them to check the fill level. From everything I have read, and benn told by my docs, you SHOULD feel restricted! Also... is it possible that your band is not positioned correctly and it is allowing you to have too large of a pouch? I am new here, but that was the first thing that came to mind.

My first EVER throw up! & LAST I hope!

I know this sounds silly, but thanks for doing such a good job of describing the sensations when you got sick. I am pre-op, and of course I am curious to know what to expect. Sounds like it was so unpleasant, and so sorry you had to go through it, but knowing what to expect actually makes me feeler calmer! Way to go on weight training! It's hard to get into the rhythm of doing something like that if you have never done it before. I used to work out quite a bit, and I remember the first time I lifted weights... I just felt awkward. Right now, I can't wait to get back into it. Though, at my current weight, I am sticking to water aerobics! Soon though... I bet you are doing much better than you think you are, so don't sweat the small stuff. Keep up the good work. Your daughter sounds invaluable in helping you stick to your guns.
  9. Thanks for the advice. I will definitely discuss it with them. I've been on here all day, and I am getting more and more excited about having the procedure done and getting on with the rest of my life!
  10. Can someone explain the pain the shoulder thing? I am new here and this is the first I have heard of it.
  11. Unfortunately, I cannot answer your questions, as I am also pre-op. However, I have a question for you! What's th protein powder you are using? I am severely lactose intolerant, so i am looking at using one that is soy based. Would love to have a heads up on what someone has found.
  12. I'm so excited for you! :scared2: Let us know how it goes. I am very curious, as I will be getting surgery before too long and I would love to know what to expect.
  13. Hi, all. My name is Cyndi and I am new to this whole thing. I actually joined this board quite a while back, in order to learn about the procedure -- then I became inactive and haven't been back. I was considering whether or not I wanted the band or bypass surgery, but I made my decision and I am SO happy with my choice. I still have three appointments in various clinics before I can schedule the appointment where they will set my surgical date. I am just waiting for the appointments to come. I still have a psych eval, an appointment with the pulmonary clinc (I have a lung disease) and I have to attend a class.. then I am on my way! Yay! I am nervous, nervous, nervous though. I was wondering if anyone could tell me about digestive problems after surgery. I have panic attacks, which can be triggered by... :scared2: well, there's no nice way to say this... when I have diarrhea, it can cause adrenaline surges, which then result in panic attacks. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if they had a lot of problems with this? If so, then how long until it passed? It's the only thing I am really worried about. Does anyone else on here have panic attacks? If so, you might know where I am coming from, and I would love to talk to you! Thanks, in advance, for any input you may have. Have a great day. Cyndi
  14. Thank you for writing me. I'm now looking forward to being overweight!! It's funny how our perspective is when it comes to words like MORBIDLY and the fact that it no longer pertains to us at a certain point. I do feel great. My energy level is amazing and it's nice to be able to do things without being exhausted or sore after a short time

    Fills are foreign to me...

I can't believe they charge so much for a fill! Is it a complicated procedure? I guess I am imagining something pretty quick and simple...
